Counter-Strike: Source is by far the most popular tournament at the i-Series. With nearly 200 teams taking part in our two tournaments run this year the competition has been high and has in fact seen three different teams taking the title.
At i32 we are putting up a guaranteed prize fund of €12,000 - this is a fixed prize amount and does not vary with the number of teams entered! The lucky winning team will walk away with €6,000 and free tickets to defend their title at i33 in the spring of 2008. Second place is not to be sniffed at with a huge €3,000 prize and followed by a €1,500 prize for third place. Prizes are given all the way down to eighth place who receives €250 - enough for consolation drinks in the bar!
The Counter-Strike sections take up the biggest room with often up to a third of the LAN being made up of CS players. Some of the most loyal and dedicated gamers at the events, the CS community has firmly made the i-Series the home of Counter-Strike: Source in the UK. We felt we needed to reward this loyalty by making i32 extra-special for CS: Source.
