Motto in Life: "Man muss der Menschheit überlegen sein. Durch Kraft, Höhe der Seele - und Verachtung!" (Nietzsche) dont know if there is any good translation or whatever.

The Origin~
When I started playing online I was playing a game called Tactical Ops. It was a mod for Unreal Tournament and like Counterstrike...but faster. I think I was 13 or something and wanted a nickname that sounds extremely cool. So I chose "coruptor" (yeah the "r" is missing...didnt know that back then). Later when I started with WC3 I used the name Killergnoll...when TFT was released I just took both of them and formed corugnoll.

The Hotkeys~
I have custom keys. its those qwer asdf yxcv keys many people have...only problem is, its an older version so firelord, tinker, alchemist don't have keys...and the shadow priest dispel key doesn't work (that sucks sometimes T_T) but I am too lazy to change it.

The Groupings~
group 1 - fighting units + heroes in
group 2 - 1st hero
group 3 - 2nd hero
group 4 - 3rd hero
group 5 - casters
group 6 - Buildings (rax, arcaines, workshop)
I don't have keys for my altar, main or blacksmith. And yeah I know I could use the F-Keys for my heroes, but I didn't know that when I started and I got used to it. Sometimes the Groups change during the game...if I add different tier3 units for example.

The Configuration~
Processor: Athlon 3200 XP
Graphics Card: Radeon X800XT
Memory: 1024 MB Ram
Storage Capacity: 250GB HDD
My laptop is better though, but i dont use it for playing wc3.

The First Game~
I don't really remember my first game...just what I played in the first few games I made. It was back in ROC in the very beginning, when people didn't really know anything about the game (except the beta-players). I always played Undead and got mass Necromancers, which worked kinda well for some time, since nobody really knew about those Wands of Negotiation.

The Achievements~
Hmm....not that much I guess. I've played 5 EPS Seasons till now, my best rank there was #6, 2 seasons ago. I won some small LAN parties and finished 2nd at the mymtw challenge in the beginning of '07. As a team we kinda own the German Premier League and won it many times...but all that isn't really special I guess and might only be "important" in Germany.

The Decision~
I don't really remember that...I first played Undead, but then switched to humans...maybe it was because the race was so strong in ROC. At the moment I just stick to it because I like the things you can do with human! There might be some bad match-ups, but in the end the best feeling in wc3 is to towerrush a fucking bullelf.

Introduction

What made you interested in computers?
I don't really know. I always played Computer Games since I was younger. We had a really old computer that only used yellow and black and I had some games there (like snake). Then my father got a better one and I just started playing games. In the beginning he was playing them too (we bought warcraft 1, 2 and starcraft + broodwar together, because he played them to...only Terran / Toss / Human though, because he thought zergs and orcs were disgusting *laughs*. I just kept going like that, I couldn't play on the internet from the beginning but when I got that working I started playing Tactical Ops, Starcraft and Diablo 2.

Have you aimed to become a progamer? What progress have you made so far in this journey?
I'm not really thinking about being a progamer. I'm getting kind of old and I think its too late for that now. I guess I'll just keep playing games and if I can make money from it, that's a cool thing. To be honest I would really like being a progamer sometimes, because its just a very cool thing to do and you have so much freedom... Would be a great experience! The problem I always had is, that I cant play that much at a time, I can spend the whole day in front of the computer, but I am chatting most of the time and doing other things. I can't really play many hours per day for a long period of time without getting pissed or bored, so being a pro-gamer wouldn't be the right thing for me. The only progamer-like thing I had going on was, when I finished my school-exams - I just took a year off after that and hell I liked living like that *smiles*.

LAN Gaming

What according to you has been the most funny situation in a LAN event?
Hehe, well I guess that would be two things: First one was, when we won the Première League Finals in Cologne 2 Seasons ago and went out after that. Some of our players were still younger than 16, so we ended up standing in front of a funeral parlor, drinking disgusting vodka from plastic cups. We felt like a group of bummers. Luckily later on we found a bar we could stay at ^_^.
And the other one was, when I was at Dimension 6 and had to share a room with Freezer. We both went to sleep and I must have fallen asleep before he did. Then I woke up at 6 oclock because I heard strange noises. I opened my eyes and didn't know what the fuck was going on, first I thought I would see a moose dying in front of my window (and I'm serious about that) after 1-2 minutes I realized it was freezer snoring next to me. I seriously NEVER in my life have heard ANYONE snoring like this again it was HORRIBLE...I made some videos with my handy cam but you cant really hear it the way it sounded back then.

What is your impression of Asian players? Their manners and skill?
I think they spend a lot of time practising, that's why some of them are very, very good. I really respect them for playing that much, since as I mentioned above, I couldn't!
Manners - I don't really know if they are mannered or not. Most of them don't speak proper English so they couldn't really flame you or be bad mannered if they wanted to. In addition I think being mannered is more important to them (or at least LOOK as if you were mannered...I think it was ToD who said they don't whine in-game to show it to the public but behind closed doors they whine and flame, too) but since I don't have any contact to Asian players I cant really talk about that. The only thing that really rocks is LUCIFERS OLD (MYM?) INTERVIEW! I saved the whole page on my comp, it was so great. I love the English he had back then...its so funny. "Fans cheer ~~" hahaha! He's the best.

Questions to Coru

With the amount of Human players in Germany, how do you distinguish your playing style from the rest?
I think people think I mainly use towers, which might be true in some way. But I lately played with units a lot more, since tower-rushing just doesn't work as good for me, as it used to. Something that distinguishes me from them would be that some EPS Seasons ago I played some very creative tower-rushes which I created with mTw-Lash. We talked about strategies a lot back then and developed many different types of timing and tried to have a new tower-rush every match versus elf we played.

Do you think you're in the shadow of your team-mate yAwS?
No, not at all. He is the better player in the moment, but that doesn't put me in his shadow. I've been known in Germany long before he has and I've been playing on a higher level for some time now and made a name for myself, not only through playing but also through writing some articles, special statements and making some songs. When we decided to add yaws to our roster he wasn't that good and kind of unknown, but he very soon developed so much and now is such a strong player, which makes me happy to see. When back then it was him getting Strategy-Help from me, at the moment it's like me getting some tips from him *smiles*.

Real Life

In real life whom would you consider to be your role model and why?
exactly he did or if some people consider it a bad thing, what counts is that you will be remembered and only very FEW people will be remembers for a very long time. So anyone who managed to stay alive in peoples heads long after he died is a role model to me.

What are your hobbies?
I play the guitar, like to do some painting and scribbling now and then and I am rapping. I'm not really into sports any more, since I've become a lazy bastard but I used to play tennis, golf, handball and was a swimmer, long ago. At the moment its mainly Music! I watch a lot of movies, I am very interested in good movies (and NO I don't mean 202020202020 billion dollar Hollywood movies you cant even remember after walking out of the cinema).

Strategy

What is the biggest imbalance in this game?
Nightelf. The race is simply fucking stupid and needs some changes. I'm not saying you should nerf the whole race, but how the fuck can it be that they can play one strategy in ANY match-up and there isn't a REAL counter? Elfs don't switch from bears to other units because they HAVE to, but because they WANT to sometimes. And now don't ask me what should be changed exactly because I know its a very difficult thing to do it, but I would hope they do it like they did with human some patches ago when we just played rifles versus ANYTHING. They buffed other units, nerfed rifles and made human a different thing. Oh yeah and you might put some glue on the archmage's saddle so that idiot doesn't fall off his fucking horse any time agility-heroes exhale.

What is the most unique strategy you have used?
When first started to become a better player I used to hang around in the frozen throne eu-1 channel with a fake nick called "Hasi8[" and talk in a very strange way and challenge random people to play Custom games in front of the rest of the people chatting there (yeah I know that's low and childish but I was young. With that nick I never played normal strategies. I used the blood mage a lot played paladyn 1st versus orc and when I was elf I used hippogryph riders mainly. But that's not really in a league's match. The most unique strategy I used in any tournament might be a fast rifle build for a rifle push versus nightelf (which totally failed) and tower-rushing with 3 peasants straight away from the start (like you used to do on 2 rivers). Ah what just came to my mind is this one: In some games I managed to kill some trees behind the elf goldmine with my scout peasant and build a cannon tower there. That's fucking strong since he CANT repair his goldmine when the tower is shooting at it.
Team Questions

What is the best part about playing with your team?
That we have been playing together for such a long time and managed to grow together. We never really had to add a player who was already famous or very very good, everybody we took in our roster grew in it and now we have reached such a nice level together. That's just great and almost unique I think. Of course its great to be all-German, too and the fact that meeting the guys at events is so much fun makes it perfect.

Have you'll met in real life once? What did you'll do?
We actually met very often and its always fun. We just have fun together, go to bars and talk about stuff... The most important "meeting" we might have had was at Sebastian's place where we had a "bootcamp". I don't really want to call it a boot camp because we didn't really play at all, but we had such a great time^^. We played poker, XBOX and just talked shit all the time. That was a really fun time and I hope we can do it again in the future!

Conclusion

Have you ever given thought to becoming a SC2 player?
I loved Starcraft even though I didn't really play it that much, but I will play SC2 for sure. If its a good game ill stick with it, maybe not making it to a pro level but still have fun with it. It all depends on how addicted the game makes and how motived I'll be playing it. But I will try it for sure.

Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?
Hard to say. I'm not really sure about what I want to do in the future. I'm studying Chinese at the moment and its okay, but I am not really sure what I'll do after that. The greatest thing for me would be to be an author and write books or a musician. That might sound like the dreams of a young boy but that's just what I would really like to do and what I spend a lot of my free time doing. But the most important thing would be just to be known for some great achievements, as I mentioned before staying in the peoples heads is a very important thing, because when you die everything you ever had or did is gone if it wasn't something extraordinary which is worth remembering you for.
