World of Warcraft finds itself represented in fnatic once more, as new faces join the WoW roster. Once again we look to America for our WoW needs and the new faces are:

  • Alexander "glick" Hloderwski
  • Rumay "Hafu" Wang
  • Andrew "Rhaegyn" Miller

While they are relatively new in the international pro-gaming scene, Orz were the 1st placed team at the recently concluded MLG Orlando. Most of you will remember Hafu from MLG Orlando, where she became the first girl gamer to win a major tournament in a co-ed competition. After staying clan less for several weeks, the team decided to join forces with us, please give them a round of applause on this occasion.

"Our team is excited to be joining fnatic, and will strive to live up to their top-tier reputation. I expect our team to play at our highest level as we did at MLG Orlando, and will push to do so at each and every event that we attend." Said Rumay Wang, World of Warcraft player.

"We're all extremely excited to have this World of Warcraft team amongst us. Competitive World of Warcraft has begun to mature, with new tournaments springing up everywhere, it has a bright future! That is why we want to keep our WoW spirit alive by picking up the first successful mixed esports squad!" Said Anne Mathews, a director of FNATIC.

Along with this news comes a little sadder formal announcement of the official departure of Insurrection that played gallantly as Fnatic.WoW since back in the WSVG days. As many had noticed they competed as Insurrection at MLG Orlando, while we had not formally released the news on our site, our internal decision awaited on the squads results from MLG. We would like to wish them the best of luck for future success, and want to thank Brian, Kyle and Jason for their time in Fnatic.

Their list of our new squads achievements and a set of mini interviews conducted by us can be found on the following pages.

Hafu:

How did you get into gaming?
I got into gaming going into my freshman year of high school. A couple of friends nagged me into starting a World of Warcraft account with them, and I thought it would be fun.

What is the one reason you chose to join fnatic?
I'm not very experienced with the gaming industry, so I went to my friends who knew a bit more on the matter. Virtually everyone I talked to
recommended fnatic as a top sponsor. Fnatic's reputation as an organization is excellent.

What are your aims with fnatic?
I aim to live up to the fnatic name, and perform respectably at each and every event that we attend.

How did you get into gaming?
I got into gaming when I was very young. I asked my family for an NES for Christmas and I thought Mario and Duck Hunt were awesome. As for computer games, my dad was into Ultima, played on a very old green screen computer. From there I heard about EQ and decided to play it and that was my first MMO.

What do you study in real life?
I'm currently studying mechanical engineering.

What are your aims with fnatic?
My aims with fnatic are to travel around the world to compete at the highest level in WoW arena. I like to win and fnatic is giving me and my team the opportunity to do just that. I'm looking forward to seeing WoW grow as an e-sport.

Rhaegyn:

How did you get into gaming?
When I was four, my best friend got a PS1, which we ended up playing constantly. The first console I bought was an N64 when it came out, and I started PC gaming with Starcraft when I was 8.

What does a regular day look for you?
Wake up around 8:30, be at work or school at 10, leave around 6, game online or at a friend's house, and sleep around 2am.

What are your aims with fnatic?
While part of fnatic, I'd like to help eSports obtain the same level of mainstream popularity as WoW.
