MSI World Tour: fnaticMSI.CS 4th at DreamHack Winter 2008by Roychez on November 28th, 2008 at 11:30 CET
|
From 27-30th November 2008, DreamHack Winter 2008 will commence at Jönköping, Sweden and will see 16 teams from across the globe competing for a share of 100,000 SEK.
The group draw was held last week and sees Fnatic Counter-Strike 1.6 in Group C alongside local Swedish team lanklan and the Norwegians that are Spelarenan.no, the former of which is also in our Extreme Masters Season III group campaign.
Fnatic have had somewhat of a bumpy ride so far this year with two 7-8th finishes, a 3rd place finish at the ESWC Grand Finals 2008, failing to qualify for the World Cyber Games and most recently a 4th place finish at WEM 2008.
However, one of the latter events of the year will see if Fnatic can regain the form that saw them earn the title of "Best Counter-Strike 1.6 team in the world" or whether it will prove too much of a task for the Swedes.
Quick Score Overview

- Update: fnaticMSI.CS is out of the tournament after losing to MeetYourMakers in the consolation final, which means a 4th place for our Swedes.

some very poorly played rounds :( especially the one on train where there were 2 awps on the back of A site and they were just trying to pick them off instead of going B or something, hope they can win the game for 3rd place that would be nice for them

yeah I couldnt understand either what they were doing, if they just attacked with all 4 at a time no way 2 awp can stop that.
but yeah 5 close games against mTw and MYM, to bad you lost them both

It was a really tight tournament with many good teams. You did your best and showed some of the old kickass sparks.

Does someone know which monitor there was used on DreamHack? It looks like an 22" LCD monitor and it's an Asus lol
