Today FnaticMSI is proud to announce a new competitive World of Warcraft team. The team joining us sports an interesting lineup which is bound to cause waves in the international community.
After the recent performances of our WoW.US squad we decided to have a serious conversation regarding their current status. While it's a difficult decision to make we have decided with immediate effect to let go of Hafu, glick and Rhaegyn - their performances have been impressive, but as a professional gaming organisation we have a commitment to eSports and the brand of FnaticMSI which needed to be maintained.
The new FnaticMSI.WoW lineup will be:
Dan "Danomite" Landis (Team Co-ordinator)
Neil "Neilyo" Mosunic
Chris "Douja" Cossey
Max "YoG" Yueh
Emerson Conrad-Garrett "Woundman" Condon
Sam "zr0" Mathews, owner and founder of Fnatic PTY LTD had this to say:
Its a big shame to see the likes of a once great team shy away from its former glory in the form of our World Of Warcraft US squad with Hafu, Glick, Yog, Rhaegyn. However with any developing esports title, things change, skill-sets needed change, activity levels change and when this happens its our duty as a professional video gaming team to adapt and make the necessary changes to OUR squad to keep us competitive and on top of OUR game.
It is with this, that I am extremely proud to welcome our new World of Warcraft US squad into our midst. The squad has been made up through the help of current member Yog, with new members being Neilyo, Woundman, douja. Together with Yog they will be fighting under the Fnatic flag at future events looking to bring back glory to our once feared World Of Warcraft team. Welcome guys and may you do us proud, we will be behind you 100%!
If you could please start by introducing yourselves to the fnatic community.
Hello, my name is Neil “Neilyo†Mosunic. I started playing WoW with some RL friends a bit before BWL was released and at first I tried to follow what my friends were doing which was raiding MC, however because of working a couple days a week I missed out on most of the raids. I ended up spending most of my free time dueling learning the mechanics of my class and this was when I realized how much more I enjoyed PvP over every other aspect of the game, I never really did BG’s though because I still tried to get gear from other instances as to not get too far behind while missing raids. A bit after Naxx was released my friends and I wanted to reroll horde and focus more on PvP, since I hadn’t PvP’d outside of dueling much, which I felt was a lot of fun as a rogue, I decided to make another rogue so I could experience the rest of PvP.
Can you tell us what your place is on the team? What sort of class you play and why?
I play a rogue, rogues main role in 3v3 as the one with the healing debuff is usually determining which target is focused, rogues also provide defensive support through stuns / dismantle / or a limited amount of cc, the stuns are also used more often offensively to prevent the enemy from being able to use cool downs to stay alive or line of sight the caster.
Have you played any other games competitively before you started into WoW PvP?
I started playing CS back in 1.5 a bit before 1.6 came out, in 1.6 I did some cal seasons with my friends, a handful of cal IM on some random teams, one of them reached cal M before cal P was created, but fell apart after only a few matches. Since then (almost 4 years ago) I haven’t played anything other then the occasional deathmatch a couple times a week. I felt like CS helped me greatly in WoW with reactions and anticipation. I also played an orb sorc in DII on hardcore mode, there isn’t much to say about pvp in that since everyone was so afraid of dying, however I did learn a some valuable concepts with key bindings, I had my middle mouse bound to teleport and scroll down to orb which made things pretty fun.
A lot of RTS players are excited by the release of SCII, are you excited for it as well? What about Diablo III?
I never got into RTS games all that much, they don’t come to me as easily as FPS or WoW so I would always get frustrated after knowing I had lost the game, but it would still take 10 minutes before it was completely over so I would lose my patience and go play CS or something never dedicating myself enough to see how good I could get.
Are you in school currently? Would you prefer to do WoW PvP as a hobby or would you like to make it your fulltime career?
I am currently in college, at the moment I have enough time for competitive WoW and school so I would have too much time on my hands if I wasn’t in school, to be a top team in WoW you don’t have to train as hardcore as in CS or RTS games. I would like to see WoW become more of a career such as CS WCIII and SC.
When you aren’t playing WoW, what could we find you doing?
Hanging / eating out with friends, watching movies, exercising.
Does your family support your competitive WoW career?
Yes, but like most people they are skeptical.
What is your opinion on the current patch and its impacts on comps?
The current patch is way too much of a zerg which favors comps that have the highest burst capabilities. In TBC games lasted long enough for good players to shine more, a better player would make better plays consistently over a longer period of time adding up to reward them more significantly than a lesser player, as it is now the most effective strat is usually to blow everything quickly while throwing out whatever CC you can instead of lining up a kill after exhausting the enemies of their important cooldowns. As for the upcoming patch there are a lot of steps in the right direction, but as always some backwards changes as well. I’ve learned not to speculate too much on changes in WoW because of how abstract WoW is being an MMO and all with a huge number of abilities, a lot of generally accepted thoughts have turned out to be way off. There’s really no telling just how much the changes will affect the game until it has been played for some time.
Do you feel your squad has a strong chance this year at events? What can we expect from you do you think?
The next events will be played on a new patch and as I said above it is really hard to tell just how much the patch will change things, however many people believe our comp will be much stronger so that in addition to our current success should give us a strong chance. I hope you can expect what most people have come to expect when hearing “e-famous†names such as ours.
Any last words for the community and your fans?
Thanks for the support! Feel free to ask any questions via my fnatic profile http://www.fnatic.com/profile/Neilyo/ and if you would like to check out the first gaming profile that I have

Hey my name is Chris Cossey out of Sacramento CA. I go by the handle "douja" in WoW formerly of Team Pandemic, looking forward to doing well with fnatic!
Can you tell us what your place is on the team? What sort of class you play and why?
Currently I primarily play support as priest/shaman, I play them because I enjoy healing classes with more utility/offensive abilities.
Have you played any other games competitively before you started into WoW PvP?
Nope
A lot of RTS players are excited by the release of SCII, are you excited for it as well? What about Diablo III?
I'm looking forward to all the new blizzard titles, probably excited more for Diablo III then SC II though.
Are you in school currently? Would you prefer to do WoW PvP as a hobby or would you like to make it your fulltime career?
Currently not in school, I'd prefer WoW PvP as a hobby for sure.
When you aren’t playing WoW, what could we find you doing?
Working or blowing off steam lol.
Does your family support your competitive WoW career?
Yep.
What is your opinion on the current patch and its impacts on comps?
I think the current patch definitely favors high burst damage comps, we've seen a few double healer warrior teams that can be tough though.
My opinion isn't very good with the current game, damage is way too high and hopefully things will be at the right level when patch 3.2 comes out (and shamans get buffs).
Do you feel your squad has a strong chance this year at events? What can we expect from you do you think?
Most definitely, we've played SOOOOOOOOOOOO many games together and I definitely think we can make some noise at events.
Any last words for the community and your fans?
Thanks for the welcome and as I said before looking forward to doing well and being sponsored by fnatic.

My name is Max, and I play the warlock for my team. I am known under the alias Yog in game.
Can you tell us what your place is on the team? What sort of class you play and why?
I play the Warlock for my team because I have been playing the class for awhile, and feel that I can play it well. I can also play rogue, warrior, and to a lesser extent priest. I have experience with every class, but I feel those are the ones I am confident with in a tournament situation.
Have you played any other games competitively before you started into WoW PvP?
I played starcraft for awhile before WoW was released. I got pretty good, although I never pursued the game competitively. So besides that, WoW is the only competitive game I have played.
A lot of RTS players are excited by the release of SCII, are you excited for it as well? What about Diablo III?
I am very excited for SCII. I have never been a Diablo fan, so I don't particularly care for the release.
Are you in school currently? Would you prefer to do WoW PvP as a hobby or would you like to make it your fulltime career?
I am currently in school. Obviously I would prefer to PvP as a hobby, but with the amount of time investment required, I would consider it well on its way to becoming a career.
When you aren’t playing WoW, what could we find you doing?
I am usually just watching TV or doing something with my buds.
Does your family support your competitive WoW career?
I wouldn't say they support it, but they aren't against it. They appreciate the fact that I enjoy what I do and i'm good at it. As long as it doesn't impede my goals in life outside of WoW, they don't mind.
What is your opinion on the current patch and its impacts on comps?
I think the current patch features several imbalances, as the damage is too high and survivability too low. It favors RMP mainly because of this, as the comp is entirely oriented around burst damage. With patch 3.2, I feel like the outstanding RMP's can still put up a good fight, but I see warlocks/druids being somewhat dominant, and shamans of course as they are receiving major buffs. The change to resilience I feel will hurt many RMP's that play very aggressively, and I feel they will have to manage cooldowns better in order to win.
Do you feel your squad has a strong chance this year at events? What can we expect from you do you think?
I feel incredibly confident in my team. You can expect first place finishes at every event.
Any last words for the community and your fans?
Shoutouts to my pals on bg5 and nutzz.

Hello, my name is Emerson Conrad-Garrett Condon. I'm nineteen years old. I've been playing World of Warcraft since release date. I'm currently running RLS(Rogue, Warlock, Shaman) with Yog and Douja.
Can you tell us what your place is on the team? What sort of class you play and why?
I'm basically the main assist on the team. I've been playing a rogue since release date. Rogue is by far my favorite class to play because of it's unique play style.
Have you played any other games competitively before you started into WoW PvP?
Nope, World of Warcraft is the only video game I've ever tried to play competitively. The only other game I've played on my PC is Warcraft 3(DotA).
A lot of RTS players are excited by the release of SCII, are you excited for it as well? What about Diablo III?
Yeah, I'm pretty excited about SC 2 and Diablo 3.
Are you in school currently? Would you prefer to do WoW PvP as a hobby or would you like to make it your fulltime career?
No, I haven't been in school for a while now. Honestly, I'm not sure. I put a lot of time and effort into World of Warcraft, and I truly enjoy playing it. I'd say WoW is more of a hobby than a fulltime career for me at the moment, but if I could make WoW a fulltime career, I'd be excited about that. :)
When you aren’t playing WoW, what could we find you doing?
When I'm not playing WoW, I'm probably working with my parents at the coffee business, or hanging out with my friends(relaxing).
Does your family support your competitive WoW career?
Of course. My family has always supported everything I do, I couldn't have a better family.
What is your opinion on the current patch and its impacts on comps?
To be honest, the current patch could be better. Damage is still out of control. I'm really looking forward to the next patch(3.2), it's going to change PvP completely. If the current PTR patch notes go live, matches should last anywhere between 10-20% longer.
Do you feel your squad has a strong chance this year at events? What can we expect from you do you think?
I am very confident that we can place top 3 with ease.
Any last words for the community and your fans?
I really appreciate you guys giving me the opportunity to get sponsored, and I really look forward to competing for Fnatic.
