Hello guys :D, it's been a while since i wrote a blog so i'm gna write a little something about our adventure in holland at the crossfire intel challenge 7

We all arrived wednessday in enschede where we met up and had the chance to meet zenith (great guy <3). We went to our hotelroom, opened up our new awesome steelseries gear :D and went to the venue to get something to eat. After we ate we met up with some other players and just relaxed a bit at the venue before we decided to walk back to our hotel. When we got to our hotel we just relaxed some more (yes alot of relaxing !) and went to bed.

The day after we woke up, well rested and all and we went to the venue to bootcamp a couple of hours. We played teams like infused & TLR. TLR looked really weak and they got knocked out really quickly. Then neil came ( <3 ) and we caught up a bit and he gave us our sick fnatic hoodies :D. We then went for some dinner with neil and the team and played some more matches and went back to the hotel to off course.. relax ! It's very important :D.

Friday was the day the tournament started but we had to play really late (around 19.00) but we ended up playing around 20.00 with the delays so we woke up around 15.00 or something. We got ready, showered etc.. and went to the venue. We waited.. and waited some more before we could play our first two games. By then we already met roychez (cool guy :D) We played mspire & gamelimited. We beat them quite easily 13-4 & 13-8 and we were done for today ! We spectated some more matches and went back to the hotel
and just watched some tv and went to bed since we had to get up around 8.00.

Our first game was vs infused and we beat them quite easily 13-7, we then played 4sypher and then we had our last game of the group that we unfortunately lost against reason. They played better and deserved win. After that we just went back to our hotel to relax and sleep a bit cause we were so tired from waiting all the time :(. After that we had to play corgz cause dignitas screwed it up and ended second in their group. They almost went out in the groups but had 2 more rounds than infernal gamers so they went through to the play-offs. The corgz game was a good game, it went to a 3-mapper but we really showed our strength on strike, beating them 13-3. They played really well on backlot and deserved the win there. After that we went back to the hotel again cause we only had to play 1 match.

Last day.. whoever won today would crown themselves the cic7 champion. We had to face hostile faction who were on fire beating mTw 13-5 and knocking them out of the tournament. We started shaky on strike getting a 6-6 draw on defence but since it was the first game of the day and we weren't warmed up we stepped up on attack and won 13-10. Crossfire however was a different story, we did some stupid stuff in the beginning of the match and it almost went to a third map..but odyx decided he had enough of it and clutched the sickest 1v4 of the tournament and giving us the momentum we needed to pick up the remaining rounds and winning the map 13-11 and the match 2-0.

The semi-final was a hard game aswell, we had to face infinity skills who were on fire that tournament on their best map, crash. Kyo went absolutely insane that game dropping a 30bomb on crash together with linqan who clutched a 1v3. We won that map 13-11 and played citystreets, our mapchoice. We were up 10-5 but then started to get overconfident and letting them get back to a 12-10 score, but no problem cause the last round i had a triplekill in 3 seconds :D and we won that map 13-10 and the match 2-0.

The final was going to be an intense and difficult game since we had to face reason-gaming who were absolutely dominating every team they played against. We started on crossfire were odyx almost dropped a 30-bomb. He played insane and it was a shame we lost the map in overtime. But odyx woked us up and we stepped up our game on crash. We won that map 13-11 and we forced reason to play a third and deciding map against us..which was strike, a map we lost 13-8 to reason in the groups. we started off shaky, but ended up getting 6 rounds on defence which was more than we wanted. The second half was insanely played from our side, winning so many clutches. we ended up winning the final map 13-9 and thus winning the final 2-1. We were so extremely happy and we all went crazy when we won thee final round. Here's the video:

Also, here's a little shot i pulled off in the final when it was 2v2. (we won that round).

conclusion: another win for us, even after we were forced to change a winning line-up. Zenith fits great in the team and all the people doubting him, our answer is winning CiC7.

Over and out,

Stevy.
