Well, day one was quite the adventure, starting with a 5 hour bus ride from Sudbury to Toronto. I arrived in Toronto at about 6 AM I guess, then walked from the bus depot downtown to Dufferin (a little over 2km) to see an old friend of mine. He went to bed right when I got there pretty much, so I went to run an errand which took me back downtown and up another 2km or so…then when that finished I went to another friend of mine, Andre’s (I used to live with him for a short time). I fell asleep for an hour, and just sat around for a few hours then headed to the airport.
Airport was fine, my second flight was delayed, so that sucked, I got here a bit late and had to checkin as YoG was on site about 5 or 6 hours earlier, and had to put his stuff in with Julian and Hafu. Everything is sorted now and I got some pictures of Woundman and Douja hanging out in our room.
ANYWAY, on to the exciting stuff…
I met up with Hafu and YoG right away, I ran into them in the lobby. Called a friend of mine from the MLG and ended up hanging out with him and some other guys and Woundman and Douja.
I was sitting in the lobby waiting for my friend to show up, and these two young halo players sat down next to me and asked me if I was there for MLG, I said yes and they asked me ‘what is your gamer tag?’ I told them I didn’t play, and then they stopped talking to me : P I asked them what game they were for, and they said Halo. About 30 minutes later, I had explained this story to my friend Ryan, and we ended up taking the elevator with the kid, and I was like “hey this is the kid who asked me my gamer tag” he was embarrassed : P but it was all cool and we ended up talking to them, the kid ended up making a team the day before to try and compete : O Good luck to him.
We ran into Kintt and were discussing the event tomorrow, it seems only one match will be played tomorrow evening (according to Kintt). So tomorrow we have to wake up, do some interviews, and then sign in (Ill take a TON of photos and upload them during the day as I take them) and then who knows, maybe some special stuff : O we will see what Hafu has planned. Woundman and Douja and I are hanging in our room watching VODs and talking about the event and stuff.
