Hi everyone,
I'm Yoan "ToD" Merlo, i recently joined fnatic.
I had the chance to visit London to meet with the management of fnatic last weekend and here is a little recap of my trip.
I flew in on Friday at noon, Elroy picked me up at the airport since i'm quite a newb with England ( only been there once and sometimes i find it hard to understand the accent )
We went straight from the airport to the fnatic office, where Sam ( fnaticZerO ) was and chatted a bunch before going out to eat in a pretty cool spot of which i can't remember the name.
Went home, slept knowing the next day would be a busier one, grabbed some quick breakfast and headed to the office again.

On that day Patrick "cArn" Sattermon showed up which was cool since i have known him for a long time and have met him all around the world back in Warcraft 3 times.
He is actually quite knowledgeable about a lot of things, helped me geting my mouse setup , and also helped with all the camera and recording stuff so that was nice.
I had to play the FXO Koth at 5pm so we made a few promotional videos until then and i got to try the Steelseries QCK mousepad which i really liked, aswell as the 6Gv2 keyboard, Gunnar gaming glasses, and the EIzo monitor all of which are kinda nice and i will using in the future.
The gunnar glasses i was really curious about because i had heard something about such glasses but i was really curious as to how it would feel, it does magnify your view of the monitor a bit, and those i have are yellow so you see everything a bit more yellowish, i thought it would bother me to play with those but actually it didn't and inexplicably i started playing more games with it even though i didn't really understand what was changing i kept on using em ~ If some people have some reservation about those i totally understand you as i do aswell, but i recommend giving it a try if you ever come across one because like me you might be surprised as to how it not actually inconvenient while playing and might even help you focus better.
I started using the Sensei mouse aswell which hasnt been easy as my previous mouse was quite smaller, but finally geting the hang of it, i remember i lost my first game at the office to a drone rush but then proceeded winning quite a few so i was happy about that it's actually a really cool mouse with a lot of features and i cant wait to learn to use more of em and playing good games with it !
I played my KOTH game against Naama which i lost in a game i feel i could have played a lot better, but at least i learnt a few things so i dont particulary mind.
Later on we went on the roof of the building to take some profile photos of me in my fnatic shirt

I'm scared of heights so geting up there on a ladder that looked a bit suspicious wasnt the easiest task but i still wanted to do it.
came back down and played a bunch of ladder aswell as some fun games including 2vs3 games.

I ended up laddering until around 11pm and then went to sleep as i had to catch my flight on Sunday.
Elroy woke me up and we headed to the airport and grabbed some subway sandwich on the way (Hi RdaM)
I barely caught my flight and went home impatient to resume practice and use some of my new hardware.
All in all it was a quite short trip but a really fun one, thanks to elroy and anne for organising it, you're welcome anytime to visit me in France man ! sam and patrick for helping with all the stuff at the office, harry for being gosu at 2v2, and elroy's flatmates for being cool and staying up chatting till 4am on saturday :D
Peace out!
