Hi~
Haven't bloged in a while, been actually quite busy recently practicing a ton and traveling, i previously went to Warsaw where the SEC was held, it was a really cool trip, quite short but fun.
I actually never realized how many ppl i knew from poland until i visited Warsaw and saw all of them at once. There was Draco that i hadn't seen in ages, TeRRoR aswell, and the ex Pentagram CS manager.
I got to hang out with NightEnD, ClouD, Jack which was really cool. met some people i had never met before and who ended up being quite nice aswell, Welmu, Nerchio, SlideR, BlinG, Spoon.
Ended up winning the tournament after a pretty sick series against Nerchio in the finals, i was reallly happy, literally fist pumped a few times, felt so great winning a tournament even tho my victory was quite overshadowed by the IPL which was happening at the same time.

I headed home and had another tournament held in my city, i took the occasion to let a FremaN and Wolf stay at my place and we had a good time talking strategies in the evening. I won that tournament aswell dropping only a single map to FremaN ( nice proxy bro )

And i had 1 day rest after that tour before heading to Korea.
My trip to Korea was quite long, i had to stop by Paris and Helsinki ( most expensive place ever ) but at least there was some free wifi, i eventually reached Korea and my friend who was suposed to pick me up wasnt there, i didnt really mind since i know a bit of Korean and can get around quite easily, i just headed to the bus ticket counter, bought one and got to the gomhouse about an hour later.
There was a few people awake, lastshadow, slog and doa if i remember correctly, it was my first time meeting doa and he's quite cool, sase got up later. I started to setup a computer for myself and there was no sc2 on it plus the battle.net website was down, felt quite cursed and couldnt play for a while but the next day i got sc2 running and started practicing.
On my first day of laddering i already met PuMa Alicia and Squirtle in ladder, in the second day i was meeting Bomber and other pretty good players so i built a pretty good mmr already, but since the leagues were locked, even tho i went 5/0 in my placement matches i was stuck in platinum.
lastshadow invited me to join him to go watch GSL finals at the gom studio which i went for and it was nice ( free drinks ftw )

I was told during the week i had to practice for code A qualifiers that i had to register for it, but nobody really knew how and the big problem here seems to be that none is really in charge, i tried to contact gomtv but without success, i ended up basically being told that i was playing the first day of qualifiers at a certain time, i got ready to leave for it and as i was about to leave someone got a phonecall and apparently i was going to play the next day.
The next day i go there, and at the entrance i realize that apparently i'm not on the list so they cant assign a computer for me, so we try to contact someone to get this changed and finally i get the confirmation that i will be allowed to play in the qualifier but since i wasnt initially added to it , thei'll probably squeeze me in instead of a bye , and most likely against a good player.
I end up having to play against oGsJookto first round and my bracket has like, NEXlife, PuMa etc... so i'm kinda bummed to play a zerg and a good player first round but doesnt mean i'm not gonna try.
I got into the game with very mixed feelings and little focus and lose first game very hard to some allin roach/ling.
Second game on Antiga i kill his 3rd with some nice harass and kill about 20 drones, i take my own 3rd and next thing you know i'm maxed with mass stalkers 3/0, i see he has a lot of roaches and 8 infestors with full energy and chose not to attack, except i give him time to get broodlords and then i basically lost 3 armies to just kill 1 of his.
I felt kinda bad losing but usually losing a game you're really expecting ( even if i wasnt really focused for that one ) can either make you wanna give up or try much harder, and in my case it did the latter.
I think having to play just 1 week after geting here is such a short time so i wasnt putting much pressure on myself either, i might have made the wrong choice by just playing mass ladder and not custom games on the gsl maps, for example on dual sight i messed up the wall with forge, and on antiga i scouted close position first ( GSL map is only cross spaws )
Anyway i decided not to try to make excuses and erase all of this from my memory, just moving on with a lot of motivation and practice.
The computer i'm currently using is apparently the only one with a i3 processor instead of a i7 in the house so i havent been able to stream much, nor in a good quality, but SaSe should be leaving soon to the IM house and then i would take his computer and stream in HD.
I made a replay pack of some of the games i thought were decent, so feel free to download my Korean Ladder replay pack
That's it for now, stay tuned for more !
P.S. Couple of interviews from SEC 2011:
