Dear reader, two weeks of 2011 is officially over and I´m finding myself writing this blog 30 000 feet up in the air and on my way to Sweden and the first bootcamp with the new lineup.
If 2008 was the year of change for USA electing the first black president the, 2010 will go down as the year of changes for myself.A new team, moving to London, getting a new girl and getting more serious with my Mandarin studies aswell as going to the gym more frequent, are the biggest changes I went thru in 2010.
Speaking about the results in 2010, we had our ups and downs but in general I´m quite satisfied how we actually did despite that we decided to end our era with the members breaking up only to continue the journeys in three different teams.
The outcome of everything is however very clear as Fnatic showed great support in me and dsn and let us rebuild the team inviting three new talents to represent the black and orange colours in 2011.
Based on 10 days practice with the new team it seems indeed that we are doing very well against the top teams out there but the real test is still upon us with IEM Kiev kicking off next week.
The upcoming European championship will be a tough but great obstacle for me and the guys to climb in order to get the confident up for the extremely important IEM finals in early March.
Besides the upcoming IEM tournaments the next months I don´t really know what 2011 holds for us. Without any clear messages from Dreamhack, ESWC, ESWC and Arbalet we do not really know how much support our beloved CS1.6 will get this year. What I know is that even how many days, months or years this game may have remaining, me and the guys will do our very best to get the Fnatic CS1.6 team back on track with help from great team spirit and never ever giving up mindsets.
Sincerely yours,
Patrik @ somewhere between the British Islands and Gothenburg
