About a week later we got a call that it would be delivered on monday. Finally around 5 o'clock I saw some red lights and a beeping sound coming up to our driveway. It was here! And here is where the crap began.
The driver got out of the truck and opened the back, he asked if I could help move the table. Apparently their protocol was that the client has to help the driver get it out of the truck, but the damn thing weighs like 135 kilograms. So there was no way in hell I would be able to lift that thing and the driver himself wasn't as big as Blaze either :D So in the end we turned out to drag the table over the gravel and the tiles to the garage.
It was tuesday. I was gonna pick up proph in The Hague because he would be sleeping over at my place for a couple of days. He was pretty excited too that I had a pooltable and that we would be able to play some pool over the next few days. So after our daily practice with the team we went to the garage and started putting the thing together. Quite soon we noticed that the crap we had with the delivery was just the tip of the iceberg.
The table was delivered in parts, so we had to assemble it ourselfs. It had this IKEA type of guide book with it, but it was a gazillion times less detailed than the IKEA guidebooks :D It pretty much had some drawings of how it's supposed to look like after each step. We started off with the legs and the goddamn things wouldn't fit AT ALL. We had to bend the wood and put alot of strain ontoo the bolts to be able to fit everything together. A couple of times the wood ripped a bit because there was too much strain on the wood. After that the legs wouldn't fit ontoo the main body and we had to push and pull to be able to fit it in there. Basically the entire table didn't really fit exactly how it should and we were even obligated to saw a piece off so it would fit properly. But finally! After 3 days of hard work we finished the damn thing on thursday night. However, the guidebook instructed us to assemble the table while it was laying on it's surface, so after assembling it we had to tip it over to be able to play...
Well if you've seen pictures of me and proh, you can guess that we were not able to turn a 135 KG weighing table by ourselfs and my mom isn't Mrs. Incredible either. So in the end, when proph left on friday morning. He spend a couple of days on building the pooltable, with the hopes of being able to play some pool later in the week. But when he left the pooltable was still upside down and he still didn't play a game of pool.
proph 0 - 1 pooltable :D

The pooltable done!
I want to wish you all a merry christmas and a happy newyear! I hope you all have a great 2008!
