So if anyone has missed out, we're in Korea! Attending Estars 2008.

This tournament is somewhat special. I don't think most of you people has undestood the actual tournament system so I'll try explaining it. It's the old clash of east vs west, Europe vs Asia.
Europe is one team and Asia is another, both working together to gather points and work towards victory. We're not only cooperating with 2 other european Counter-strike teams, but also with 3 other Warcraft 3 players. The scoring system works like this:

2 deathmatch events
2 king of the hill events

1 of each event for each game, wc3 and cs.
the win of an event would give you 1 point.

In the deathmatch event, we were told what maps were being played. Then west and east selected their teams each to a different map. This was done in secret, so that we wouldn't know what teams / player was playing that particular map. This was the same for both Warcraft and CS.

King of the hills is as it sounds. Theres' a maporder and both teams send in a team / player , if a team wins they stay until they're defeated. So it would be possible for one team to come in and beat EVERYONE from the other team =).

In case of a tie, 2 points for both teams. Everything will be decided on 1 map in counter-strike, dust2.

So now I've explained the system and now for a recap what has happened so far.

Our Warcraft 3 team started out by unexpectedly winning against the asian team in the King of the hill event. Sending out Sase vs Sky first Sase took sky down later to be beaten by Moon. Grubby continuing where Sase left off, beating both Moon and Lyn gaining us the first point in the tournament.

2 days later it was time for Warcraft 3 yet antother time, this time the deathmatch. Hot beating Sky in the first game. Sase losing the second game against Lyn and then Grubby losing the third game against Moon. Asias first point.

Then came Counter-strike Deathmatch.
We started by playing Dragon on de_train. And won the game.
Afterwards came mYm playing Estro on de_inferno, ending up losing.
Our last hope of getting a 2:1 score was Emulate beating Lunatic-hai on de_dust2. Wich unfortunately didn't happen and asia is now in the lead with 2:1 in total points.

It's actully sunday morning now, been a bit jetlagged so i fell asleep around 21.00 and woke up an hour ago at 04.00. This is the final day of thtournament and it all hangs on counter-strike winning today. If we win the remaining King of the hill event we'll be able to decide who'll win playing a decider map on de_dust2.

Gonna go and try to get some more proper sleep now before we head off to the final showdown against asia!
