Ok, same issue today. A swedish court decided to institutionalize a young man because of his addiction to WoW. The article is in swedish but it is mostly full of the same shite as the rest of them.

The most interesting thing is the actuall reasoning the court used in the verdict.
It goes:

"Han har isolerat sig från omvärlden och skaffat en icke acceptabel dygnsrytm"

That means:

He has isolated himself from the world and achieved a non acceptable days-rythm

NON-FUCKING-ACCEPTABLE.

People... What about a bartender? He sure does meet alot of people but they arent really smarter than a NPC in WoW while drinking and his hours are by all means non-acceptable.

A court of law in sweden did in some extend sentence you to addiction if you are not awake during office hours.
