So, here I am with another blog, I think it's my first one in a while.
When I came home from NY I started playing Quake 4 the same day, still heavily pissed off because of my loss in the NY final. I didn't really enjoy playing at start, but luckily now I do. I've also played 4 official matches in Quake 4 already, 3 wins and 1 loss, against Northstars in the Eurocup TDM. We need alot more practice but I'm sure we'll get there, now just hope we get out of our groups by beating srs, obt and aAa, which will be no easy task.
I also got a new computer, so as of now at home I don't use my laptop anymore (Dell XPS with Intel Centrino 2.0), but instead I use a desktop with Intel Pentium EE 840 (dualcore) with 2 Gigs of ram and a sweet 7800GTX, so let's just say my fps is maxed most of the time :).
I actually didn't plan on having my pc this early but I was at a Lan party 1 week ago where I placed 2nd, only losing to Rufus in the final by 2 frags on the last map, which is alright, considering the amount of time I had played the game (1 week). I'm sure I'll get him next time. But back to the point, I built this PC because I won a mainboard (with a Quake 4 logo) and a transparent case, both sponsored by AC Ryan. I am not using the mainboard as it does not support the 840 processor, so I am using an Intel Desktop Board D955XBK. The case looks really cool but one downside is the noise, but then again, comparing a desktop with this hardware to a laptop is kinda of stupid.
But yeah, the laptop was pretty silent compared to this machine, luckily I don't hear anything when I'm gaming thanks the closed headset I'm using (Sennheiser HD280, if you go to crowded and noised places like Lans or tournaments, get one ASAP!).
So yeah, I guess that's it, not really much interesting stuff to tell, except the fact that I am picking up Quake 4 and hopefully I will do well next year in the various tournament I will hopefully be attending.
