OK, I don't remember which capital letters/lower-case letters go where in Lause Cause's nick. But I can tell you this -- that guy is hot stuff. As far as my memory stretches back, I can't recall him ever being mentioned in the Quake III era. Between him and Socrates (who isn't new at all, but is making such a huge, huge impression on Quake 4 so far), is it possible that criticism of the American Quake community will quieten down a little bit?

The grand final was just played moments ago between Lost Cause and Stermy. LC took the first set comfortably, and to be honest, I was expecting him to take it all. Of course, then again, there is Stermy, who, if you got to watch any of his matches yesterday, was absolutely on fire. He ended up taking it all, with Lost Cause losing the second set.

Definite props to Stermy -- he did a great job.

This moment in Quake 4's existence reminds me so much of last October when the game actually launched. Everyone still has the same questions floating around their minds; how will this player do against that player? Will the Americans be able to produce a group of players to rival the large pool of greatness that is Europe's Quake community?

LC is here to stay, I'm sure. He'll be back in the future; if you can beat somebody like Fatal1ty, or Socrates, you're not a fluke. What we can look forward to at this point, is getting ready for the international community to really explode. Let's get some Fatal1ty vs Cooller going on. Let's get some Fox vs Lost Cause.

More international rivalry, less ... downtime. "PLZ."

TeK-9 just signed him a couple of weeks ago. Mad props for the belgian organisation who supported this player. Lovely!

Finally here comes the tournaments time. After CPL Winter it was only invitational stuff going on so no wonder the scene seemed quite dead.

I'm really hoping the second half of the year is going to be much more saturated with events than the first. When I compare January-June to, for instance, Russia all year long (with Q3 anyway), it's hard to be content with the inactivity we're facing. Hopefully that's over.
