Today is a big day for FnaticRaidCall! We are proud to announce that we have signed contract with Tim "PowerNet" Moon, who will be assembling a North American Dota 2 to play under FnaticRaidCall's banner!
This means that we will have two Dota 2 squads representing black & orange colours. Tim is, although young, a very experienced player, and was one of the key players of team USA during the MYM Nations Cup, where USA won the first place by beating team Ukraine in the finals. Tim has also played for notable teams in the scene, such as BP, later known as OK.int, EZ, GoSu and more. Here is what Tim had to say about joining our family:
Joining Fnatic is a huge opportunity for me. Joining as a single player is indeed, a daunting task, but rest assured, there will be great results to come. It’s only a matter of time before Fnatic.NA will be top dog!
Our General Manager and the Manager of StarCraft 2 division, who started this project together with Tim and will be managing the new North American Dota 2 team, Elroy "Noname" Pinto stated the following:
A new beginning for Dota 2 on FnaticRC today! We have been looking to expand our base into North America and we didn't find the right people to work with. When we did look at exisitng teams around individuals we came across Tim and in subsequent conversations it became quickly clear that he was someone we wanted to work with him. In the coming weeks we will be assembling and putting our team together, we understand such things don't happen overnight but we have the patience and with Tim's dedication I am sure we will reach something positive. Tim will be also streaming shortly via own3d and you can follow his games and the construction of this team on our website. Also for the concerned people out there, this is not the end of our European team they will happily co-exist with our North American one. Exciting weeks ahead, special shout outs to RaidCall, MSI, SteelSeries, EIZO & own3d.
Tim will be available for a live Q&A and couple of friendly matches in our room at RaidCall (1337) on Friday, 19:00 CET (13:00 EST). So don't forget to be on RaidCall on Friday!
We want to wish a warm welcome to Tim and wish him the best of luck in assembling the North American Dota2 team and representing our colours in the Dota2 scene. Follow Tim on Twitter (@fnaticPowerNet) and show him some support!
