Recap
Day 1 finished with the big names breezing through their first games. It wasn't until round 3 that we started seeing some of the exciting matches with Daisy, who continued his quick pace disposing of Pro7ecT to claim the first spot in the Semi-Finals. Harstem met CPU in the Quarter-Finals and eliminated him 2:0 to claim his spot in the Semi-Finals as well. Beastyqt smashed through KrasS and with sLivko defeating Capoch our final four were set.
The final day of the competition was kicked off by sLivko taking on Daisy in a best-of-3. With a brilliant proxy pylon play in the second game, Daisy quickly became our finalist with a 2:0 win. His opponent would be decided through a very high level TvP with Harstem taking on Beastyqt. Unfortunately for Harstem, his efforts weren't enough and he fell to Beastyqt, setting up a spectacular Terran Vs Zerg Final. The finals were close, going all the way to the wire. Daisy managed to come out on top by taking the final game of a complete best-of-5 series. Daisy therefore took the title of The Storm Champion and the prize of $300.
Harstem had a good showing coming in 3rd-4th place, so congratulations to him as well as to sLivko! We would love to send our thanks to all the participating players, and we also hope more people will show up for the upcoming tournaments!
Finally we would like to that our sponsor RaidCall for making all of this possible:
