13:12pm - aLive was too much to handle in the second game as well, sweeping 3 time GSL Code S champion MC and moving on to the Round of 24. One more victory and he's earned himself Code S for next season!
12:55pm - aLive was able to take the first game through some serious aggression - Hellions, Medivac drops, pushing the front with bio. aLive is now up 1-0!
12:40pm - The match is now LIVE and the first map is Antiga Shipyard! aLive fighting!

GSL Code A

Overview

Every GSL Code A is full of dangerous opponents and 2012 Season 4 is no different. It starts with some of the biggest names in Starcraft 2 (aLive, Oz, Creator, Bomber, TheStC), adds some Brood War legends (Flash, Jaedong, RorO), and tops it off by sprinkling in most of the current Code S (Ryung, Polt, PartinG, NaNiwa, MMA, Seed, Squirtle, Genius).

aLive won his first match against   hero in convincing fashion with a score of 2:0, but his next challenge is perhaps the greatest one of all -   MC. MC is one of the current Code S players that dropped into Code A and is one of the reasons advancing is so difficult. If aLive can beat MC though, there's no reason to think he won't make it through the entire Code A. 

Getting out of Code A is extremely difficult in its own right, and the new format makes for a lot of turnover in Code S. That also gives a chance to achieve a Code S spot for the next season and that's what aLive is trying to accomplish.

Right now, alive is in the Round of 32. The winners in the Round of 24 will receive a spot in Code S, while those who lose in the Ro32 and Ro24 will compete in the Up & Down matches to acquire their spot in Code S. At this point in time, aLive has already secured himself a chance for a Code S berth and is working to ensure the Code S spot by continuing to do well.
