Overview
MLG Pro Circuit 2012 will feature both Group play as well as Open bracket, leading into the Championship bracket. Oz is set to play in Group A, going up against Korean Zerg player Hyvaa in the first round. The results of Group play determine the seeding of players going into the Championship bracket. The event will be held during the course of three days, starting at 2nd of November and finishing on the 4th of November.
The tournament will start at 23:00 CET on Friday, November 2nd!
03:18 - Oz has won the match with 2:0 after taking the game on Ohana! Once again Oz was able to counter Hyvaa's strategy, by going for mass blink Stalkers with addition of six Colossi! By bringing Hyvaa's fourth and fifth expansions down, he was able to equal the economy with the Zerg player. Crucial moment was Oz's engage on the middle of the map where he was able to kill the most of Hyvaa's army including all Broodlords! Therefore, Oz progressed to the second round of the Winner's Bracket A where he will wait for his next opponent. 03:01 - Oz vs Hyvaa game two on Ohana is now LIVE! 03:00 - Oz won the first game on Cloud Kingdom after defending against Hyvaa's slow Zergling all in. Beautiful map awareness and great scouting helped Oz prepare for this unusual all-in play. The next game is seconds away. Oz will need one more game in order to progress further into the bracket.
05:50 - Oz will be seeded into Round 6 of losers bracket in tomorrow Championship Bracket. Tune in tomorrow and cheer Oz on! 05:45 - Oz opting out of the 2 base timing attack and expands instead opens the window for Leenock to put on the pressure. With multi pronged attacks on the main and the third base killing the majority of the main base Oz was forced onto the back foot. One final drop in the main and another attack on third was the nail in the coffin for game 5. Leenock wins 2:4. Great day for Oz and more to come tomorrow morning! 05:19 - Game 1 of the extended series was very back and forth with Leenock coming out ahead. But Game 2 was pure execution from Leenock. Oz was stretched way to thin and the constant and perfect timing of Leenocks aggression managed to kill the Natural Nexus and the fresh third base Nexus to force Oz out. 2:3 to Leenock. He will now progress to the finals of Group A where he will await his next opponent. A great timing attack with Immortals proved to be too much for Leenock to handle. Oz showed some great game sense and delivered victory on Ohana. Well played Oz! 01:20 - Tonight, Oz and Leenock are showing what StarCraft 2 is all about! Another intense and crazy game occured, but this time Leenock ended on top, leveling up the score at 1:1! Even though it looked like Oz would take his second consecutive win and close the series, twenty of Leenock's infestors were the heroes of the game! Oz overextended into Leenock's main, where infestors came and killed all of Oz's army.
