FnaticMSI say goodbye to deus and LINK1N
Today we are sad to announce that due to not hosting a full team for popular Quake Live formats, Capture the Flag (CTF) and Team Death Match (TDM) we will be saying goodbye to two long-time FnaticMSI family members.
Pierre-Emeric ‘LINK1N’ Portier and David ‘deus’ Alexander, will be departing FnaticMSI to seek further opportunities elsewhere. With that being said, FnaticMSI will continue to support Quake Live Duel wholeheartedly as we have in the past.
Both Pierre and David had the following to say about departing FnaticMSI:
Pierre-Emeric ‘LINK1N’ Portier
Well I guess we saw that coming - the lack of team game competition in QuakeLive forces us to make some decisions and unfortunately, this is the reason my mate deus and I are leaving the QL squad of fnatic. Unless I start playing duel seriously, I can't see any reason for me to stay in fnatic. But we don't really know what QuakeLive will bring and I don't see big chances anytime soon. Too bad I didn't see the potential of that game.
For my part, I'll still be working for this organization so no, I'm not leaving the family yet, and I wouldn't anyway! They've been very awesome with me, especially with the support from MSI, SteelSeries, BigFoot Networks, Raidcall and Slappa, I feel at home.
In a nutshell, I'll stay in this warm home as a video maker and editor - I'll still do what I've done the past events!
David ‘deus’ Alexander
Well first of all I'd like to start off with thanking Neil, Anne, Sam and the crew for making me feel very welcome over the years. The time has come for me to leave one of the best organization's out there. Myself and fnatic end on very, very good term's. I wish fnatic all the best, and am very grateful to have been given the support from MSI, SteelSeries, BigFoot Networks, Raidcall, and Slappa :)
As mentioned above, Pierre will stay on with FnaticMSI as a member of the staff who will attend events providing photography and video services. We are sad to have to part ways with our long-term friends, but wish Pierre and David success in their future endeavours.
