Me and Lamia of Fnatics League of Legends team went off to Riot offices in LA to a fully paid trip by Riot! We had loads of fun and I write this blog to share our experience of this unique visit. 

First we had some problems with Riot assigning these flights, who should go as people lacked passports and such. But finally we got everything settled, with me, Lamia and Kujaa of Millenium flying to LA! First I met Kujaa when I flew from Munich to Los Angeles, luckily we had been assigned with the same flight and we had a good time on the plane chatting. We arrived in Los Angeles in good time, and after some time of waiting for a lift Zenon, Pendragon and Rivingtonthe3rd (finally:D) came to pick us up. We were taken to this nice hotel where we would be spending our nights for the next week. When we finally got to the hotel though it was really late and we just headed out to eat with some riot guys before heading to bed. 

At around 5am next morning I had a nice surprise. Lamia called me from the airport asking what hotel were we staying in. Fortunatly I had left my cellphone open just incase something like this would come up. Well I told Lamia where we were staying and he got here by taxi. Zenon had texted him the info of the hotel but for some reason his cellphone didn't work here in LA, well when he arrived I obviously wanted to sleep, it being ridiculously early but he insisted on doing something, can't remember what, on his computer. Well we stayed up and later that morning went to wake up Kujaa and went to out at a nearby restaurant where we would eat every morning for the next week. After we had breakfast, we headed out for a nice walk at the beach. Well unfortunatly, we took the wrong turn and it ended up taking 2 hours for us to walk there.

After we arrived to the beach I wanted to go to the amusement park, but Lamia and Kujaa weren't too excited about the idea, damned nerds. Next we walked to the riot offices, we had a lift available at our hotel but as the beach was closer to the office than to the hotel, we figured we could just walk there. Eventually we got there, got to see alot of cool stuff that we can't talk about, saw new champions, skins and ideas for improvement. We had our say at things aswell and I think everything went rather well. Later that evening we hanged out with some other rioters and we had alot of fun.

The next day we streamed our first matches with riot employees. We played some funmatches and even some games against SK with me, Kujaa, Lamia, Phreak and Sam that didn't go too well on our part :D BUT WE JUST LET THEM WIN ANYWAY TO GIVE THEM CONFIDENCE FOR THEIR QUALIFIER THE NEXT DAY xD! That day aswell we had some meetings, we discussed supersecretstuff (as allways) about everything in LoL. Later that evening we went to Chrises and Daves place to watch the qualifier games and just to hang out. Somehow, we fell asleep after some time since the games were played on a ridiculous time for us (Like 4AM, and we had waken up at 9) but we did manage to see some games.

The weekend we didn't attend any meetings or such. Just had a lot of fun. We went to the beach, ate at several restaurants, played volleyball, swam in the ocean and in the pool, went shopping and stuff. And oh, I ate frozen joghurt for the first time in my life. It was really good. We also hang out at the riot offices, played some games and stuff. I remember playing an epic game with Sam and Chris where I totally carried them with revive teleport Blitzcrank *cough*.

Monday we streamed once again, and spend an afternoon with Phreak playing a cardgame called Dominion, which was actually alot of fun. That day we again didn't do much, just hanged around the riot offices and did an interview there. Later we ate with Rara and some fans. 

Tuesday it was time to leave really early, unfortunatly we had some problems with transport again and Rara had to pick us up at the hotel really early, even though I wouldn't have minded spending some extra days in LA. It was alot of fun, and I will miss everyone there and hope we will meet again!

Overall, we had alot of meetings and hopefully helped Riot improve their already awesome game. We had alot of free time there too and I thank everyone from Riot for making this all-so amazing trip possible for us.
