It has already been more than 5 weeks since I arrived in the US. Although I was kinda anxious whether I would be able to adjust to the environment or not, luckily I find most of the things here pretty comfortable and convenient. (Except for not having a car or having a good metro system....) Cornell University (where I stay) has nice views and the facilities are very new and high-tech. Also, my English improved a bit that I can now order food, drinks, or buy stuff in stores without much problem. However, I still suffer from complex English vocabulary/conversation. (like doing interviews....~_~)
Also, my first out of state trip was to Anaheim, California where MLG Anaheim was held from 7/29 to 7/31. I have never observed that many fans coming to watch starcraft 2 games in my life and also, the atmosphere was very very feverous. It gave me further motivation to do better and as a result, I was able to pull out a decent result even though I am not entirely satisfied with it. But, it was a very meaningful experience to me in terms of many aspects- it was the first tournament that I attended outside of South Korea and I was able to interact with the fans more closely compared to those in GSL. It was really enjoyable taking pictures, conversing with fans, and hearing their cheers for me.
I have been taking a small break aftermath and recently, I started to resume my practice to prepare for the next MLG in Raleigh. I hope I can pull out good results there too. I will try my best, so please stay tuned!
Thanks to our sponsors, teammates, fans, team management staff members!
P.S. Special thanks to TT1 for the baby food! It really helped a lot! ~_~;
