My time at Fnatic House and Taiwan

Hey Guys,
It's been a week and two days since I left Korea and I feel like sharing my views on the stay in Korea and explain my spontaneous trip to Taiwan.
First of all, I have made experience that I'm not the gaming-house type. I didn't feel all to well staying in a computer-filled environment with only guys, where cleaning, working out, staying healthy and cooking only will come to one's mind after an abnormal time of abstinence from either of those life-accompanying nuisances.
Additionally, the only team mate motivated to going out more than once a week and not just to drinking was Mellisan while it is of course fun to stay home playing computer games all the time it was kind of too much for me after a while. I can't blame the others though, I love games, too. Maybe I am not as nerdy though! :D On top of it, my own motivation to do anything was shattered by the overwhelming friendlyness most Korean people look at you with on the street, in shops, or even if you try to go for traditional food, just keep getting ignored since you can't read the menu until you leave. Playing on the Korean server is not as much fun either. I have yet to find a match where I don't have to read heavily racist comments. Cyanide already wrote down his thoughts about that. (http://fnatic.com/blogs/Cyanidefi/3616/Korean-SoloQ-in-League-of-Legends.html) Another thing there is to mention is that it's not too uncommon to find the enemy mid, jungle and toplane come to gank and dive bottoms 5-6 minutes into the game. Kind of annoying I have to say. But a great practice overall.
I enjoyed the tournament of ognlol and also the competition and esports scene there is more professional than anywhere else. There is nothing to say against that but that on other events people were more relaxed and more fun to be around; it's just they have to be really serious since it's on national television.
With all of that in mind, I spent my free time in Korea in forms of jogging and working out on a ... mostly beautiful riverside, not eating too much or eating out since our kitchen was mostly occupied by germs and old dishes or traditional food was "DENIED" by the Korean owners. Basically, if there were no pictures to point at, or any english translation on the menu you could point at, you had no chances of being offered anything, not even tried to be spoken to. So I lost abot 6 kilos and gained some muscles in 2 1/2 weeks. Sounds good.
But one thing I have to say, if you met some nice, friendly and fun Korean people, the people he will introduce you to, are also fun to be around. It was not at all bad :-)

After we dropped out of the tournament, we were given the decision whether we want to leave for home, back to Europe, or continue practicing in Korea together. It was obvious we were not going to stay with three people and going home with only two, since it would be three full weeks where we could not practice. As the majority decided to stay because it's "just like home anyways" :D and it would have been not that easy to reschedule our non-rescheduleable tickets we came up with the result that, since I wasn't feeling well in Korea and not enjoying my time, I could take a flight to Taiwan for and stay there since I made a lot of nice friends and I can also visit my favorite team, the Taipei Assassins again. On top of that, the ping from Taiwan to the Korean servers is merely around 80 with a good connection, so we could continue practicing for scrims or my personal favorite fun thing to do: Duoqueue with my Mellisan! :D Basically, we still almost have the same hours of scrimming and a lot of duoqueue, just like I was in Korea. Also, I feel much more motivated to play from here and feel like I am improving much more. Btw. I LOVE the MF buff.

So what have I been doing in Taiwan so far?
I spent all my time in Taipei so far by besides practicing by hanging out with friends and enjoying the great food... beef noodles, all different kinds of Taiwanese fried chicken, some kind of cold noodle dish which was especially awesome, hot pod, stinky tofu and other tofu from the various night markets I have been to, can't even describe what kinds of awesome food I had. Much more than Korean BBQ, and then Korean BBQ again after I just went to the Korean BBQ! :D
Also did some stuff I missed out the last time I spent three weeks here: been to the beach at night (the water is freaking warm stil xD) and the Taipei Zoo. Also, I got a great new haircut, and had an awesome but slightly painful foot+shoulder massge and the kilos I lost in Korea are definetely BACK since I eat so freakin' much here! :D I have already visited Ilan, Sun Moon Lake, Taichung, 101 and lots of other places on my last trip and since this trip is not a holiday I won't be able to explore that much. :) I love the weather even though it is freaking hot and sometimes rainy. That's just what Taiwan is to me :)
I especially love riding on the back of my friend's scooter who takes me everywhere. Even though the traffic and riding the scooter in Taipei is crazy! xD I've also went to watch the GPL live in the exhibition halls near the 101 Tower :) Was amazing and I love the Taipei Assassins Team, also made some great pictures with 'em!

So far, so good :) You can always leave any questions on my fanpage http://www.facebook.com/FnaticLamia. As for all the people who are waiting to see me stream again, I am very sorry I haven't been able to do it that much, but all the Korean teams won't let you stream their practice matches anyway and it's kind of hard from the netcafé ^^ :)
