Pink and Zanster join Fnatic Academy

It's with great pleasure that we announce the addition of two players to our StarCraft II academy. With the inception of the academy we planned on using it to nurture new talent and give unknown players a chance to improve along side our professional team and international exposure.

As we will be focusing on home soil in 2013 we felt it was the right time to add two new European players to our ranks. Without further ado we would like to introduce you to Anton 'Zanster' Dahlström and Alexander 'Pink' Cvitanich Haugsted.

Zanster is a 16 year old, Zerg player from Sweden and Pink is a 18 year old, Protoss player from Denmark. Both are relatively unknown on the global scene, however those who follow the Scandinavian scene will be aware of these names. They made their début in the Black and Orange against 3D!Clan in the Cascade Team League earlier today.

This is not the end of the announcements regarding StarCraft 2, we have a lot planned for 2013 and this is just the beginning. Stay tuned to Fnatic.com for more news in the coming weeks.

Below you can find statements from Elroy Pinto, our StarCraft 2 Manager as well as both Pink and Zanster on joining the team.

Elroy 'Noname' Pinto, StarCraft 2 Manager

Zanster and Pink join our Academy ranks today, while we have lost some players on our main team, we have decided to continue with our Academy for now in 2013, we are glad to have some European players on the Academy.

We have had some good success with our Academy, producing talents like Harstem, ByuL and Luvsic, bringing them into the spotlight. It has been some months that we've looked for potentials and we've talked a lot to players. A big set of thanks to Harstem for helping me find these players. We're sure that these players will mature well under us.

Anton 'Zanster' Dahlström

I'm extremely happy that Fnatic gave me the opportunity to play for them and that I'm now joining one of the best teams in the world.

I'm very thankful to Fnatic for believing in me and I will make sure to not let them down. I'm good friends with the players in the StarCraft 2 team already and I can't wait until I get to meet them in real life.

In the upcoming months I really want to show that I am worthy of being a part of Fnatic and I will do my absolute best in individual and team leagues! Fnatic Fighting!
