In just a few hours our League of Legends professionals will be taking the not so distant drive from Cologne, Germany (their new permanent training location due to the LCS Europe competition) to Hanover, Germany to participate in the Intel Extreme Masters World Championship.
This $150,000 event is the Grand Final of the Intel Extreme Masters Season 2012/13 and includes some very stiff competition. Fnatic was one of the first teams to collect enough points to qualify for the World Championship, but you can see that any team would consider itself very lucky to reach the Playoffs.
With just two groups of six teams each and the Best-of-One lay-out, it will be extremely challenging for any of the teams to be amongst the best three in each group, giving you that spot in the Playoffs. Fnatic's placed in Group A and will need to prove its worth against Gambit Gaming, LG-IM and CJ Entus Blaze as its main competitors.
Wish our team the best of luck in two weeks and hopefully they can come back with a big chunk of that $150,000 prize pot from March 5th until March 9th in Hanover, Germany.
Format
During the Group stage, the Format will be BO1, which changes in the Playoffs to best-of-three.
dude , i was supporting Fnatic since their beginning when they were MyRevenge 2 years ago , I didnt stop beliving but this was just depressing to watch and truly hard for the real fans of fnatic , I know what are they capable off but this was just ... worst performance ever
Many of us support these guys way back from myR time (Cyanide and xPeke), and i was a huge fan of old aAa even before Season 1.. You cant imagine how i felt during the finals at S1... But in these hard times where our team perform bad and have really bad days where everything went wrong... these are the times when they need us, the biggest fans, the most. We need to show them our support.
Well, all i can say to the boys. I am happy i wasn't home (@ work) to see what i hear was really bad performances. BOUNCE BACK! Cause that is what you are so good at! GL in the last games!! FIGHTING!!!! <3
BETTER FOCUS SHEN HERPADERP.
Seriously guys, you are better than this and you put up a good fight against GBG, probably the best challenge they have had all day. The I don't really understand why you kept engaging on the shen like seriously?
Sort your heads for LCS.
I don't know what was worse, the stream or the team's performance. xD
I really thought you couldn't play any worse... I guess that was surprising, in a bad way. .-.
You should learn how to control your emotions ingame and don't go full emo when you're playing bad, especially peke.
You know what and where went wrong, so im sure that you will sort all those mistakes in the upcoming days of practice. Dont loose your heads, keep cool and everything will work out the best for those who trully believe.
P.S. Im glad that i had the chance to see some good YellOwStaR's Corki (to bad it wasnt with Leona in lane). He did good in most of the games. xPeke, sOAZ, nRated and Cyanide did play a little poorly in the first 3 games...
P.S.S. Atleast you won last game for us fans, and for that im trully gratefull. <3FNATIC FIGHTING<3
LCS backfired big time. Imo this one was already lost in the picks and bans. Two bans targeted at botlane and it was all over, You even counterpicked yourselves in most positions. Why?
Maybe everyone needs a high-lvl smurf to become more unpredictable and versatile as I don't think you train incognito together already.
On a second thought after watching the finals vod today: Why not instead of an "academy" team consider a twin team lineup like the Koreans? Way to go in terms of disclosed practice and development.
