Seven months ago SteelSeries gave us their Sensei mouse, a new laser mouse set to be the ultimate weapon choice for every respectable gamer out there. Now, SteelSeries is introducing the Sensei [RAW] and its two different versions at CeBIT in Hanover, Germany.
The main difference is in the coating of the mouse. Where the original Sensei features a metal coat, the new [RAW] allows you to choose between a smooth glossy surface or a rubberized soft-touch surface. The glossy black mouse looks sexy as you play, while the rubberized surface retains comfort and grip through intense gaming sessions.
The original Sensei lights up in 3 separate areas (the wheel, the CPI indicator, and the back) and the user can choose from over 16 million colors. The Sensei [RAW] has only a white light up in one area (SteelSeries Logo), but has a transparent bottom that shows the inner mechanics of the mouse. The illumination can be customized for both intensity and pace of the lighting. The [RAW] is built for the gamer that still wants top tier performance of the Sensei but wants a less colorful, more affordable version.
