Tournament Summary

The MLG Spring Championship has been a hell of a tournament. FnaticRaidCall sent 4 players to the event: aLive, ByuL, Oz, and Rain. Each of them began in the Open Bracket, and every single one of them made it to the Championship Losers Bracket. ByuL, in particular, had an amazing run through the Open Losers Bracket, falling from the Winners Bracket in Round 2 but making his way to the Championship Losers Bracket regardless. Fnatic's other players all made Pool Play and took victories there from players like MC, Leenock, viOLet, and Polt. Rain's first match was against SaSe, which is unfortunate because SaSe continued his run after Rain. aLive fought his way through several opponents before being defeated by Polt, who then narrowly beat Oz as well.
The end of MLG Anaheim saw all 4 of our players in the top 32, which is an incredible performance for our guys. This was ByuL's first foreign event and he certainly impressed. The other guys are veterans and will keep performing on the foreign scene to the delight of Fnatic and its fans.

Championship Losers Bracket

Oz, aLive, and Rain finished in the top 8 of the Open Winners Bracket and were seeded into Pools. As a reward, they will be seeded into the Championship Losers Bracket based on their final standings in the Pools.
ByuL has made it all the way through the Open Losers Bracket and is now in Round 1 of the Championship Losers Bracket! If ByuL is able to win that match against Sleep, he will begin facing players who were in Pool Play, starting with viOLet who finished 6th in Pool A.

POOL PLAY

Fnatic had 3 players seeded into Round 4 of the Open Bracket, and all three of whom have advanced to Pool Play. You can check out how Rain, Oz, and aLive did in their Pools by checking here. 

PLAYER PROGRESS

Despite losing in Round 2 of the Open Winners Bracket, ByuL has put together a show in the Losers Bracket, storming through opponents on his way to Losers Bracket Round 9, which has become Round 1 of the Championship Losers Bracket. ByuL has now, after a marathon of Best-of-Three matches, joined his teammates in the Championship Losers Bracket. If ByuL is able to continue his success, he still has a shot at making the Grand Finals.
By virtue of making the Pools, our three Fnatic players have been seeded into the Championship Losers Bracket based on their performance in said Pools. Finishing 5th in Pool A, aLive is now in Championship Losers Bracket Round 3. With a 4th place finish in Pool C, Rain waits in CLB Round 4 for his opponent to be determined. And by finishing Pool D in 2nd place, Oz is already in CLB Round 6.

TOURNAMENT DETAILS

MLG is the top North American league, and now the Spring Championships are upon us. MLG Anaheim is the culmination of an entire season's worth of events, of qualifiers and invitationals. Starcraft 2 was here last year in MLG Anaheim 2011 and it took over the convention center. This year it's going to be even bigger, and 4 FnaticRaidCall players are going to be attending. 

This tournament features a list of players that is as dangerous as it is long. Past MLG winners are going to play, GSL Code S and Code A players will knock each other out in the Open Bracket, before the playoffs even begin. aLive, Oz, Rain, and ByuL will all be in there, scratching and clawing their way up through the ranks.

Sunday:
11:55: Oz, the final FnaticRaidCall player left in the tournament, has been knocked out by Polt with a score of 1-2.
11:00: aLive has fallen to Polt 0-2, but that gives Oz the chance for revenge in Championship Losers Bracket Round 6.

Saturday:
23:00: aLive has defeated Lucky in Championship Losers Bracket Round 3 and Golden in Round 4, which means that tomorrow morning he will take on Polt for the opportunity to play Oz in Round 6. Unfortunately, Rain was defeated 2-1 by SaSe in Round 4 of the CLB.
21:00: ByuL has finally been knocked out of the tournament, losing 2-0 to Sleep in the Championship Losers Bracket. He had an amazing run through the Open Losers Bracket, blowing through opponents on a marathon day of Starcraft 2.
19:15: ByuL is still destroying people in the Losers Bracket and is now in Round 8. In Pool A, aLive lost his final match against PuMa 0-2 and finished with a record of 2-3. In Pool C, Rain finished strong by defeating JYP on the Main Stage 2-0, leaving him with a record of 2-3 as well. In Pool D, Oz lost to Socke but was able to defeat SaSe to finish with a record of 3-2. Next for those three players will be the Championship Bracket!
18:15: In Pool A, aLive beat Leenock 2-0.
18:00: ByuL was able to defeat TriMaster and move even farther into the Losers Bracket. Pool Play continues, as aLive loses to Ryung 1-2 in Pool A, Rain loses to Stephano 1-2 in Pool C, and Oz loses to DRG 0-2 in Pool D.
17:00: Lots of news! ByuL defeated Heavens 2-0, moving deeper into the Losers Bracket. aLive lost to Inori 1-2 in Pool A, Rain lost to Ganzi in Pool C, and Oz defeated MC 2-1 in Pool D.
16:00: Oz has beaten Heart 2-0 in Pool D.
15:50: Rain defeats Polt 2-0 in Pool C.
15:45: ByuL has beaten Sic and will be moving on to face Heavens in the Losers Bracket.
15:25: aLive defeats vioLet 2-1 in his first Pool Play match.
15:00: The final 8 in the Open Bracket Winners have been put into Pool Play and the matches have started. Oz lost his first match against Socke 1-2 to begin his pool, and Rain lost against Alicia 0-2 in his first pool match. 
14:45: ByuL has beaten Attero 2-0 and will keep moving on in the Losers Bracket.
14:00: ByuL has beaten Beastyqt and will be progressing in the Losers Bracket.
13:45: Rain has beaten Fitzyhere 2-0 and will be moving on to Pool Play.
13:40: Oz has defeated BlinG 2-1 and will be moving on to Pool Play.
13:15: aLive has defeated HuK 2-0 on the Main Stage and will be continuing on to the Pools! 
12:45: On the Main Stage, aLive takes on HuK.
12:00: Rain defeated Caliber 2:0 and has moved on to face Fitzyhere in Open Bracket Winners Round 6, aLive is playing HuK on the Main Stage in OBW Round 6, and Oz will face BlinG in OBW Round 6. In the Open Bracket Losers Round 4, ByuL awaits Beastyqt.

Friday:

23:00: aLive took the series from Heavens with a score of 2-1 and will be moving on to Open Bracket Round 6.
22:30: Oz has beaten CrazymoviNG 2-0 and will be moving on to face BlinG in Round 6 tomorrow.
22:00: Oz has been matched up against CrazymoviNG and aLive will be facing Heavens in Open Bracket Round 5.
21:00: ByuL lost his match against Clide 0-2 and has dropped down to the Losers Bracket but still has a chance to continue through the tournament.
20:07: ByuL will play vs Clide in Round 3 of the Open Bracket. aLive, Rain and Oz will begin their play in Round 5.
17:30: ByuL has won his first Open Bracket match 2-1 against ex-Fnatic player KawaiiRice.
