In the beginning of March, Patrik "cArn" Sättermon announced that he would be retiring from professional Counter Strike after a decade of winning. Despite leaving the job as an in-game leader for one of the most succesful Counter Strike teams ever, cArn wouldn't leave eSport for good as he would be taking up the role as Chief Gaming Officer at Fnatic.
Fans can now look forward to see their favorite Swede in action once again as he will do a temporary comeback at the EsportSM group-stage at Dreamhack Summer 2012 taking place from 16-19 June. Finn "karrigan" Andersen is not able to get to Sweden in time for the group-stage of EsportSM, due to him having exams, and as replacement, cArn has once again been called to arms.
Patrik "cArn" Sättermon expressed his feelings about the small comeback:
"The guys asked me if I´m willing to come back and help them during the group-stage of the Swedish championship as Finn has his final exams to take care of. Of course I can not reject such a request and I´m thrilled to get back competing a bit, though it´s worth to clarify I´m not intending to return full-time at this point. See you at Dreamhack all and thanks for all the support! Forza Fnatic!"
The comeback is just temporary but the group-stage will sure be one-to-watch when one of the most experienced Counter Strike players returns for one last stint of gaming.
EsportSM will run at Dreamhack Summer 2012, which will take place from 16-19 June. Follow all the action right here at Fnatic.com.
