FnaticRC takes 2nd in EGMC VII

Tournament Summary

The match was incredibly close, as all Grand Finals series should be, but compLexity was able to hold on against FnaticRaidCall and take first in the EG Master's Cup. That means that FnaticRC takes home the silver medal and a hefty $3,000 for its season-long effort. The team did exceptionally well, finishing in the top 4 at the end of the regular season and fighting their way through the Playoffs. Fans of Starcraft 2 should rejoice - the games were of the highest caliber and several Fnatic members were able to share the spotlight during win streaks this season. Look for continued success out of FnaticRaidCall!

09:00: Fnatic loses the grandfinal 3-2 final score and takes 2nd plaec in EGMC VII.
08:45: aLive vs Killer is tied 1-1 and final match of the Grand Final is live .
08:00: aLive vs Killer starts the Ace Match for the EG Master's Cup Grand Finals.
07:53: aLive win 2-1 and sends us to an ace match.
07:45: aLive is tied 1-1 with Goswser.
07:20: ByuL has defeated GanZi 2-0, so the score is Fnatic 1-2 against compLexity.
06:55: ByuL and his Banelings took the first game of his series with GanZi.
06:35: A heartbreaking loss from Moon in game three, so Fnatic is now down 0-2.
06:25: Moon's amazing Baneling and Mutalisk micro gave him a victory and tied the series 1-1.
06:00: Moon was forced out of game one.
05:40: Moon will play Heart for in the second set.
05:35: Killer's Warp Prism was too much for Oz. Fnatic down 0-1 to compLexity.
05:20: Oz lost the first game against Killer.
05:00: The tournament is double elimination, so Fnatic has come back from the Loser's Bracket to the Grand Finals and can still win, but it will require defeating compLexity. By coming from the Winner's Bracket, compLexity is rewarded by knowing the order of Fnatic's line up and choosing based on that information. This is a huge advantage, as compLexity should choose players to snipe their specific Fnatic opponent The opening match will be Oz against Killer.

Monday 2 July: Fnatic vs SlayerS

04:35: aLive wins the Ace Match and puts Fnatic 3-2 over SlayerS! Up next, a shot for revenge against compLexity.
04:20: aLive lost game two to a Baneling bust by Miya, so the Ace Match is tied 1-1.
04:10: aLive dominated Miya in the first game of the Ace Match.
03:50: The Ace Match will be aLive vs Miya.
03:45: aLive took the series 2-0 and has tied the overall score, so there will be an Ace Match!
03:35: A brilliant hold by aLive and a single hero Reaper help put aLive up 1-0.
03:22: ByuL's Baneling bust caught Puzzle by surprise and ByuL took the series to bring Fnatic's score to 1-2. The next match will be aLive against Crank. If aLive loses, Fnatic finishes in third place. If he wins, there will be an Ace Match.

Sunday 1 July: Fnatic vs compLexity

01:45: Rain has lost the Ace Match against Heart, so Fnatic loses 2-3 overall. They still have a chance and will face SlayerS in the Lower Bracket final.
01:00: Oz lost a close series with Heart 1-2, forcing an Ace Match.
23:30: aLive has defeated GanZi 2-0!
22:45: With some Baneling & Muta play, Moon wins vs QXC and ties up the series. aLive vs GanZi next. 
22:25: Moon vs QXC live and 1-1 now, map 3 on the way.
21:40: Byul lost to Killer 0-2. Moon vs Qxc next.
21:00: Day 2 of EGMC kicks off with FnaticRC's Byul taking on compLexity's Killer.

Saturday 30 June : Fnatic vs mousesports

FnaticRaidCall has beaten mousesports in the Winner's Bracket with a score of 3-1. In the Winner's Bracket Round 2 they will face compLexity, the team that upset SlayerS. This is a double elimination tournament, so no one is out yet. Here is what our general manager, and the manager of StarCraft 2 division Elroy "Noname" Pinto had to say about the tonights Grand Finals of EGMC:

Going up against complexity is a bit of a shocker as they took down SlayerS in a close game and while we're looking to be favorites going into this I hope we can maintain that against them. We won't take them lightly and will look to wrap things up at the earliest to get a good lead going into the finals.

Tomorrow, on the 1st of July, FnaticRC will play against coL in the Winner's Bracket Finals of EGMC at 21:00 CET!

19:30: ToD has sealed the deal, taking the series 2-1 and putting Fnatic over mousesports 3-1.
19:15: ToD's excellent Warp Prism use just tied the series 1-1.
19:05: MorroW takes game one, so ToD is now down 0-1.
18:38: MaNa wins game three, so the overall score is now Fnatic 2-1. The fourth match will be Fnatic.ToD versus MorroW.
18:25: aLive used his Marines and Siege Tanks to great effect, evening the series 1-1.
18:10: MaNa was able to take the first game, so aLive is down 0-1.
17:48: Oz wins game two as well, giving Fnatic a 2-0 lead. The next match will be Fnatic.aLive against MaNa.
17:25: Oz uses his superior macro and micro to quickly win game one.
17:05: ByuL uses a well timed Baneling bust to take the second game. The next match will be Fnatic.Oz against biGs. Fnatic up 1-0!
16:50: ByuL takes the first game!
16:35: The first Best-of-3 will be FnaticRC.ByuL against the Protoss player HasuObs.

European fans should stay awake not only because of the two teams' line-ups, but also because the prize pool is $10,000 and these teams will be fighting tooth and nail to win. The casters for the playoff weekend will be EG.IdrA, EG.iNcontroL, and EG.Azael.

The Evil Geniuses Master's Cup is coming to an end, with the four remaining teams set in a double elimination bracket. The final teams are SlayerS, compLexity, mousesports, and FnaticRaidCall. Fnatic's first opponent will be mousesports and the match will be on June 30 at 16:30 (PDT).
