Updates

14:40: FnaticRaidCall have lost in a close match to SlayerS-EG with 4:5 score. aLive wasn't able to deliver the 3rd victory, and overall fifth for FnaticRaidCall in ace match against Ryung. SlayerS-EG will therefore advance to semi-finals and play against TSL. We wan't to congratulate our team for their briliant performance in Season 2 of GSTL, and wish them best of luck in future competitions.
14:15: It all comes to ace game! Score is 4:4 and this match couldn't have a more dynamic and better ending! aLive took down another Zerg, with briliant Marine and Tank play. Few successful drops allowed him to gain enough time to build up the composition he needed, and ultimately win the game! Should aLive win another game, our team will be through to the semi-finals of GSTL Season 2. aLive's last opponent will be Ryung, and the last map is Metropolis! Go aLive!!!
13:50: aLive scored in favor of FnaticRaidCall and made score 3:4. He will need two more wins in order to lead our team to victory. The game was pretty one-sided, as aLive was able to shut down every single move that CoCa decided to take. aLive's next opponent will be another Zerg player Miya, and the map is Whirlwind.
13:30: SlayerS-EG are one win away from the semi-finals, as CoCa defeated Oz with his well-known Infestor play. The Infestor count was up to 22 at one point in the game, and Oz couldn't find an answer to it. The last player for FnaticRC will be aLive and the next map will be Antiga Shipyard. In order for FnaticRC to stay in the competition, aLive will have to win this match.
13:05: Oz has scored once again and made the overall map score 2:3. Game was pretty intense and interesting as it went to a base trade scenario, where Oz was able to edge out close victory due to better army composition. The next SlayerS-EG player will be another Zerg, this time it's CoCa and the next map will be announced soon.
12:35: Oz denied JYP's proxy play and made the score 1:3. JYP went for a gamble with two Gateways made in front of Oz's base, but with a great scout, Oz found out exactly what was going on. The next map will be Muspelheim and Oz's next opponent will be Zerg player YugiOh.
12:20: After a fast game, FnaticRC is three games behind, as Moon's all-in wasn't hard for JYP to handle. Baneling bust wasn't enough to go through JYP's wall. The next map will be Daybreak, and our fourth player today will be Oz. Protoss vs Protoss incoming.
12:06: The score is 0:2 now as Rain wasn't able to score for FnaticRC, even though he played his early game perfectly. He even brought JYP's natural down, but wasn't able to benefit from the advantage. The next player for FnaticRC will be Moon. Map will be Entombed Valley.
11:50: Rain vs JYP on ESV_Ohana is now LIVE!
11:30: ByuL lost the opening match to JYP, and the score is therefore 0:1. Next up on the field will be Rain and the map will be announced soon.

Overview

At 11:10 CET on the 13th of July, FnaticRaidCall StarCraft II will face their biggest challenge yet in their competitive StarCraft 2 history in team leagues. They will step into the battlefield and fight for pride and honor versus one of the toughest opponents there is. SlayerS-EG are awaiting.

It's not only GSTL where our guys have achieved great victories over teams such as Prime and IM-SK, they have done extremely well in EGMCS as well. Second spot in the competition where teams such as mousesports, coL and SlayerS-EG themeselves were competing, was certainly not an easy task. Even so, our guys delivered amazing victories, and even though some of the matches were extremely close, it surely was a great show for every StarCraft 2 fan. One of those victories was against SlayerS-EG as well.

As for GSTL Season 2, our guys are currently placed 3rd in Group A in the second round. In order to progress to the semi-finals, where TSL are waiting, they have to beat SlayerS-EG, who have lost against team MVP just like FnaticRC did. Team Prime is currently placed fourth and have no chance of advancing, so the current champion of Season 1 of GSTL is out. Surprisingly enough StarTale-Quantic are out of the competition as well. With two loses against New Star HoSeo and FXOpen, they took the fourth spot in Group B.

Round 2 : Groups

The match between FnaticRaidCall and SlayerS-EG has epic proportions. Only one of these two giants will join MVP and TSL in the final four of GSTL Season 2. The match will start off with an interesting duel between ByuL and JYP on Cloud Kingdom. A maximum of 9 games will be played, as always, and our guys will need five wins in order to defeat SlayerS-EG. We will provide you with live updates, and you can expect to see them right here in this newspost. We want to wish our guys the best of luck. No matter what happens tomorrow, we are proud of what they achieved in their first GSTL competition.
