Jae Ho 'Moon' Jang, formerly known as Spirit_Moon has been an icon in the Warcraft 3 scene for years. From his rivalry with Grubby, to his now being the highest paid gamer in the world; Moon has made his mark on the E-Sports industry forever. Moon recently announced his Marriage to Kang Ye Lim. Cameron 'fams' Carson got the opportunity to ask Moon a few questions about his marriage, will he play Starcraft 2 and more.

Congratulations on your marriage!  It came as a shock to many in the E-Sports community, many people didn’t even know you were dating anyone.  Could you tell us a little about her?

I'm sorry if you were surprised. Kang Ye Lim, whom I got married to, has worked as a beauty artist. She's a normal citizen.

When did you two meet?  Is she involved with E-Sports at all?

We met three years ago, and no she isn’t involved with E-sports.

Where do you two plan on going on your honeymoon?

We were planning to go right after our wedding but I had too many leagues scheduled. We will go whenever we have a time.

Now into the E-Sports questions, what made you choose Wc3 in the first place?  SC is obviously the more popular title in Korea, yet you stuck with Wc3 over all these years, why is that?

I once played Starcraft but I thought I could show my best in WC3 while I had been playing it. So I am a WC3 player now and I believe WC3 has its own attraction.

Would you describe your style as more macro or micro intensive?

WC3 players need strategies, micro control and good mental status to be the best. I basically take a lot of care with my micro control and sometimes I give weight to macro according to maps or strategies.

Did you ever think about quitting when MYM died and Susiria and Lucifer retired?

I have never thought of quitting. I felt anxiety a little but Wemade Fox, an outstanding korean gaming team, hired me and I am very thankful for that.  I was not so worried because E-sports has a bright future.

Do you still keep in touch with your old teammates? I know Susiria is playing SC2 these days, do you guys ever practice Wc3 together?

Not recently.

Did you ever have any role models that you looked up to when you first started in E-Sports?

Boxer from Starcraft because he is a pioneer of E-sports.

What is your opinion on the current state of Wc3?

Some teams have disbanded but the number of leagues are increasing. I know the situation because I continuously participate in many leagues and tournaments. I think it is not that bad.

Will you switch over to SC2 from Wc3?

Not determined.

The foreign fans don’t hear much from you, what have you been up to lately?  We know you have been helping a little with the development of Avalon Heroes, as well you are participating as one of the Korean participants alongside Soccer in the upcoming Stars War event, but other than that, what has been keeping you busy?

I'm living in the WEMade Fox practice room and lodging for pro gamers.  I usually spend 10 hours for practicing and participate online and offline leagues. I'm planning to take part in ECL in Beijing. And I'm doing my duties as honorary ambassador of Avalon Heroes.

What is your daily routine?

Four hours practicing in the morning, three hours in the afternoon and another three hours in the evening. There are meal times and breaks between them. The training plan is well-organized and I'm healthy in body and mind.

How have you changed as a player, moving from Meet your Makers to WeMade FOX?

That helped me feel more comfortable and I can play better.  I've become better friends with other gamers. Having a talk with them helps with my performance.

In an interview with Carmac, you had said you felt underpaid, now being at WeMade FOX, do you still feel that?  Are there any other players out there who you feel are underpaid?

No. I think there might be some misunderstandings in that interview.

If/when your career ends as a player, do you think you would like to be a coach or take on another role in E-Sports?

I guess I will work for the development of Korean and world's E-Sports.

When do you plan on doing your military service?  Do you intend on playing for the ACE team when you do your service?

Not determined.

Any closing statements for your fans?

Thanks for the continued support and cheer. I'll do my best to show you good games and winning.

A special thanks goes out to Paul, the manager of WeMade Fox for making this interview possible, and Jeong Woo Oh for translating throughout this interview.
