Personal: Hey all! I am Roy Van den Hove, 19 years old and living in the most southern village in The Netherlands, Eijsden (near Maastricht). I am currently doing the academy of fine arts where im planning to do Graphic Design and later on Scientific Design. I guess my real life is pretty much standard. I go to school and I like sports. I go 3 times a week to the gym and I like playing soccer, and I swim in vacations. Furthermore I hang out a lot with friends and I play saxophone for almost ten years now. Nothing really spectacular happened during my life, but that might change in the future.
Gaming: I started playing games around 5 years ago. My classmates were talking about the latest matches in class, so I got excited and decided to buy the game too. I really enjoyed the gaming scene, and I decided to devote more of my spare time to it. So that’s how it all began. I got more involved in big organisations when I started with designing for big teams. When I started playing games about 5 years ago, management wasn’t that important. Gaming was considered as something for geeks. Teams only needed a decent server and website. As I played in various teams throughout the years, I experienced that a good management is a must. Players have to play on their best, and they shouldn’t think about a their hardware performances or what hotel they stay in during tournaments.. I started my own gaming team in 2003 (powered), with myself as the head of the team. I wanted to create the best for myself and the players, so they could function on their best. When the team folded about a year later, I got many offers about playing in new teams, but I wanted a team with a good organisation, but back then there were only a few. I wanted that to be changed, so I teamed up with mysod.MSI which was one of the best Benelux organisations in 2004. I took care of the PR, including the news section. After a year the team died because of several internal problems. I decided to join the Swedish organisation EYEBALLERS Ltd. where I took care of the PR, general management and website development. Futhermore I took care of the design of a new mousepad, the EYEpad. Because of the inactivity of EYEBALLERS, I decided to hook up with one of the best multigaming organisations around, Fnatic.
At the moment I really enjoy working with all the guys during my 1.5 year within Fnatic. Love travelling, events and working hard!
