When we're at a loss for words when the man who formed the Warcraft 3 division leaves, we decide to remember the good deeds he did for the team. Frederick Steinfeld or Freddy as he is affectionately called by everyone who knows him managed to found the Warcraft 3 team of fnatic 2 years back.

Taking what could be called the best of the European lot, he set out to take on the best and he actually succeeded to the point where the team attended it's first LAN finals last month. He has also been a successful manager for ENC with Sweden and will of course chose to stay in eSports.

Here is a little interview with the man himself, Frederick "triMble" Steinfeld.

Hey triMble today is a very sad day for fnatic.wc3, you bid farewell. Tell us what made you take this decision?

Hey! Well there are several reasons for me leaving fnatic. Of course it is a very very hard decision to leave a team you founded and not long time ago we were able to attended the first Lan Finals what finally got the team into the world elite, but the time somehow feels right to leave now. I did not have any real motivation left for the team, for reasons I don't wanna make that public, but with it might be time for some fresh wind in the fnatic Team. The team is great no doubt, and they can go far, but as people noticed we had a heavy downswing lately and maybe it is time for the team to tank some new motivation out of a new manager taking over. Fnatic found a good and capable manager with Noname and I have no single doubt that he will improve fnatic even more. For me, time has come to regain my motivation for warcraft and then see how to go on.

Where do we see you after this?

It not yet decided, I have a lot of work for my university and I need to figure out how to continue with WarCraft. Nevertheless, I'm the guy who's always up for new projects, so you might see me in one of them. Or maybe in an old and established organisation? I really don't know yet, I already got some offers and will watch out for others and then take a decision.

Do you think you might regret this later on?

Maybe, as I said it is a huge step to leave a team which you founded and which you were managing for almost two years now, but it's not fair for the team neither for me if I would stay with no motivation at all. The team needs a manager who's 100% dedicated and focused on it, and that is not what I have been lately. Not at all.

Would you like to say a few words or comments to anyone on the team?

Well the team as such is a great team, of course I say so cause I had a bit of influence on how it looks today. Also the management is great and dedicated, and it is impressive how far fnatic has gone in such a small amount of time. So overall it is a great time, and I could have stayed here forever but it just did not feel right any longer.
