Following a dissapointing performance at the WSVG Dallas event, we are sadly saying farewell to several players from our World of Warcraft team. However, we are infact welcoming newer, fresher faces from one of the teams that have been dominating the WoW circuit.
With two consecutive 2nd place finishes at WSVG Lousville and WSVG Dallas, we are delighted to announce that
Team Insurrection will be joining our organization and playing under the Fnatic tag in future WSVG events!
The team were beaten to the top spot in both competitions by Pandemic and will now be looking for vengeance to place themselves on top of the podium as WSVG Toronto is just around the corner, and our team have been training hard in preperation.
Fnatic.WoW now has the following roster:
They were previously top of the 3v3 ladder during Season 1 on the US rankings, holding that spot for 15 of the last 16 weeks of the season, where finally, they recieved first place.
Everyone here at Fnatic would like to give them a big warm welcome and wish them the best of luck in their future journeys under the prestigious Fnatic tag!
A small interview with detailed answers has also been conducted with Scott "Nad" Asher which you can find by clicking Full Story.

Firstly, welcome to the family! Are you excited to be here, and how long has it been in the works?
You placed second at both the recent American WSVG events behind Pandemic, what do you think you will need to do to take that elusive 1st place?
Are you afraid of any international teams that might be out there considering the American events were dominated by Americans?
Finally, tell us a little about your background and what you do outside of gaming i.e. Job, education?
We're extremely excited to be a part of Fnatic. We've obviously taken a long time to determine who would be the best sponsor, and while we've had several other offers, knew that having an established, professional organization like Fnatic would ensure that we could stop spending our time managing our travel and gear and spend more time perfecting our skills. Sam and I have been talking for well over a month now and I think we've worked out the basis for a great relationship. A lot of other teams have been constantly asking us when we would get a sponsor, understanding that it's definitely not fun to figure out how to finance and manage the team ourselves, but I knew that we shouldn't jump at the first offer we saw. Everyone on the team is definitely psyched that we waited and signed with Fnatic.
You placed second at both the recent American WSVG events behind Pandemic, what do you think you will need to do to take that elusive 1st place?
I think we need to do a few things: First, we need to be as consistent as Pandemic. While we've definitely played very well at the past two tournaments, we've logged early losses in both, which hurt us a lot because these losses meant that the first time we would play Pandemic would be in the Grand Finals. Coming from the lower bracket meant we would have to beat them twice in a row -- a daunting task. Secondly, I think we need to be as versatile as Pandemic. We have some of the strongest individual players of our respective classes, but we haven't played the various combinations of classes we want to use as much as Pandemic, whose two major compositions (Pri/Mag/Rog and Pal/Pri/War) are both well-practiced. I think in Toronto we'll have the versatility we need. Finally, I think our newness to LAN hurt us a lot at the previous competitions. I know I myself definitely made several mistakes I would never have made, especially in Louisville, because of the newness of the LAN environment. We should all be used to the whole LAN thing now, and come out prepared to play.
Are you afraid of any international teams that might be out there considering the American events were dominated by Americans?
Honestly, no. I mean no offense to the European teams out there, but the ones who have shown up for the WSVG tournaments so far have all been massively underprepared for 3v3. I hope very much that a European team will surprise me, because I would love to see more fertile competition out there, but I don't expect it. Once a European team proves itself by beating some of the top teams, then I'll definitely worry more about European 3v3.
Finally, tell us a little about your background and what you do outside of gaming i.e. Job, education?
Outside of gaming, I'm a quantitative analyst for an investment firm for Highbridge Capital Management in New York. I'm a bit older than most gamers at 26, but games have always been a major hobby and I've continued to find ways to fit them into my life. Right now I'm honestly as intrigued by the whole eSports industry as I am interested in continuing to play games in general. As far as education is concerned, I graduated from Harvard University with a BA in Computer Science and Mathematics back in 2002. I'm also going to be attending Columbia Business School in the fall (while working part time), so I will definitely be very busy! Gaming helps me keep my sanity ;).
