It is a sad day today, we are officially shutting down what has been a huge part of the Fnatic Team over the years, the Fnatic Warcraft 3 team. The decision comes after numerous tough times within the team due to poor results. We part ways in a positive light at the end of this WC3l season to give time for the team to join up with other teams. Three of our players have already found new teams in the form of NWRS a new russian team and satiini to another (undisclosed) team.
The team which was formed in 2005 under the guidance of triMble and sported countless future Warcraft 3 stars, including SaSe, Creo, Satiini, Xyligan and many many more finally comes to an end.

DieSeL was unavailable for any comment but Sam Mathews the managing director of fnatic had this to say.
Former fnatic lineup was:

Mikhail "XyLigan" Ryabkov

Let's all give them a round of applause for their achievements and try and remember the best times and the fun moments that they shared as a team.
They each had this to say:
Mati, Finnish elf star:
I still remember the day when I joined fnatic, it was a glorious day and I was really excited about it, eventually it proved to be exactly everything I hoped for, really good team spirit and overall a really great organisation which I enjoyed playing for. I would like to thank fnatic for the good times and for their endurance in my case, even though I wasn't the easiest player to have with my problems. I wish all the best for everyone.
Robert, Russian Orc had this to say:
So this it I guess, I came in fnatic many months back and supported it to the best way I could. This team we had so many good times and good team spirit but maybe we missed something. I hope that my team-mates understand my decision and I wish them the best of luck in life and in the game. I will miss everyone in fnatic and hope I've made the right choice
and finally, our Human star Mikhail had this to add:
I think I did right choice when I joined fnatic team 1.5 years ago, many things happened for that time and its the best team which I had in my life. But now I decided to join another team and I hope this choice will be right too. I think its good for raise my skill and show that Russian team can be the best team in the world. Nice to meet you guys !LOVE!

Cliche Title, yet pretty true. Today is the day there will no longer be a Warcraft III team of fnatic, which means my exit of a organisation I was in for over 2 years. It all started in the summer of 2005, my old team disbanded and I was asked to join fnatic, never knowing I would be in the team so long and have so many nice memories 2 years later. For me fnatic has always been the perfect team, even though there were major changes a couple of times and a lot of faces left and joined, I never felt I was at the wrong place and enjoyed nearly every day I was in this team. I'm far from a very accomplished player, yet I've had some small successes ( I.E Winning Eurocup 13, Qualifing for BWWI2 in South-Korea ) which are mainly cause of fnatic and I wanna thank everybody in the organsation who allowed me to travel and compete in so many tournaments. Even though there were quite some roster changes over the years I've always had a nice team with every player in the team so I wanna thank them all, even when fnatic.wc3 has Had some rough times, we had good times also. If I look back and have to pick the best time It was prolly early 2007 when we qualified for the NGL One finals, where Duck and Myself played a super season and showed some green power. So one more time a final shootout to Sam, Anne, Tuxie, Elroy, Jay and the cs 1.6 guys ( keep on rocking ;p ) and all the new divisions as CSS who are doing awesome, Take care guys and best of Luck :). FNATIC FIGHTING!!
Elroy, manager of the team had this to say:
It's been such a hard time for the team and to see the way it has ended now I feel very sick in my stomach. I think it's the worst possibility I could see happen but yet here I am making the hardest news post of my online career. I joined fnatic in April and I can say it was the perfect atmosphere for me and till the end we always had a good laugh in the team together. For the first time I felt I belonged with a Warcraft 3 team. I'd like to thank the players, XyLigan (for being such a drunk at ESWC and a nice guy normally too), Rob (for being an usherb and a real team spirit guy), Satiini (close friend and strongest player I've seen), Abver (for just being really smart and lazy!) Elfittaja (Even though he's not with us I respect him and admire his qualities), NaNiwa (For flaming and challenging every player in the team! Loser leave fnatic!), DieSeL (For being a very mannered guy and loyal to the core) and finally RotterdaM (Best Captain and friend, such a hard mix to find) I am not sure what my future is, if I stay in fnatic or not, but I hope all my former players do well and be the best in everything they do. Lastly I'd like to thank Anne, Sam for supporting the team so much. Have a nice day to all.
DieSeL was unavailable for any comment but Sam Mathews the managing director of fnatic had this to say.
When forming fnatic, it was always my intention, that Warcraft 3 would play an integral role in the future of our organisation, and it did. It has been a tough ride for all of our players aswell as the organisation and it has had its ups and downs with the biggest ups being the qualification for the NGL One finals, Rotterdam Winning Eurocup, Xyligans 4th place in two World Cyber Games and finally Satiini with his ever dominance in online matches and incups. I would very much like to thank Freddy Trimble who was responsible for getting warcraft 3 into Fnatic, and for being a great manager for years. I would also like to thank Rotterdam enormously for being the pinnacle of our team for so long, one of the most loyal and friendly players you would ever want in your organisation. And lastly Elroy Noname for being responsible for the team and being a great manager who adequately filled the big shoes left by trimble, I hope you will have a long future in Fnatic to come. For all those that wonder why we decided to close the team, the reasons come down to a few things. Firstly, we have had such good team chemistry and gathered some extremely talented players but we were never able to make it click in game. This left us with the choice of either forming a new squad with different players (and upsetting the current players) or disbanding WC3 altogether. Secondly, we are looking to the future, and are excited about the possibility of picking up players for Call of Duty 4, UT 3 and Starcraft 2. Finally, this decision was not reached because of financial pressures but was down to the fact that we want to maintain the level of excellence that we are achieving with our other squads. I won't say if Warcraft 3 will never reappear in Fnatic, that all depends on the situation and who knows if the right situation arises. If it does then of course we will be back!
