Today the Warcraft 3 Masters tournament took place, featuring three of our fnatics.
Starting with Hyosub FoCuS Eom, Chul Woo Shy Park and Minhyuk Minhyuk Jo in the first round the tournament ended with a fnatic-internal final.
Minhyuk made it up to round four, where he lost to HDx.Red, who nearly became FoCuS's enemy in round six. As HDx.Red lost to raptor's newest addition, the Sewdish player ThorZaIN, it was the Swede who was FoCuS's enemy in round six. With a clear score of 2:0 the fnatic-representative managed to advance to the next round, which was the final round.
At the same time Shy played at the bottom part of the grid against mTwAMD.Check who seeked revenge for his teammate Who being kicked out of the tournament at the very beginning. Shy had not played against one of today's top-performers so far, but nonetheless was quickly at 100% of performance and could therefore advance to the final - facing his teammate FoCuS.

After Shy lost Twisted Meadows due to a failed towerpush to his countryman and teammate FoCuS he was able to win Turtle Rock in a nightelf mirror-match. With swapped races on Echo Isles the both fnatics entered an exciting battle, which ended up in the favor of Shy.

Question: How did you like playing against your teammate FoCuS in the finals? Shy: Well it's hard to answer this question, in general I have to say that I don't like playing against my teammates, but at the moment I am just happy that I won. Question: How did you like the third game of the finals. You two choose random and started with swapped races. Shy: It's fun for me to play with different races sometimes, so I liked it very much. |
