The Return of Vo0

by Noname on July 24th, 2008 at 23:41 CEST

After giving up on a professional gaming career at the end of 2005, where he earned the most amount of money from Pain Killer winning an astonishing 5 out of 9 CPL World Tour stops. With the announcement of a number of tournaments for Quake 3, Sander felt the desire to be competitive once again.

With this desire, he wanted the right organisation behind him. Who better to join than the team that was behind him all along the way through those CPL wins. Today we're proud to announce that Sander "Vo0" Kaasjager will once again proudly wear the fnatic colors (and tag) to all forthcoming Quake events. It is with great pleasure that we have Sander amongst our midst again and we look forward to a highly successful career for him in Quake 3.

Fans of Vo0 will be glad to know that he will also be making videos for fnatic TV in conjunction with Wipido.com. Expect in-game commentaries from Sander, as he gets into the finer points of the game. More on this later!

"After two and a half years of inactivity I am glad I picked up Quake 3 in order to play in this summer's professional gaming events. My heart has always been with fnatic even during the time I didn't play in any tournament, said Sander, "I am glad that I am now once more a part of the fnatic team, as I have had nothing but great experiences with the team during the events I attended under their wing in 2004 and 2005. They provided me with everything I needed and I am faithful that they will do so once more."

"Quake is alive with the sound of Sander. Cheesy, but you get the picture, were very excited to have Mr Kaasjager back in the FNATIC orange! After a 2 year hiatus from professional game, albeit a brief come back which netted him 2nd place in China, it is great to see Vo0 come back home, said Samuel Mathews, Managing Director of fnatic. "He's got catching up to do with Quake 3, but we have all confidence in him to be able to bring success upon his name again. We strongly believe in Quake's future, with the upcoming Quake Live version driving the way into 09 for the resurgance of quake as a competitive game. So for us Sander is bringing back fast paced fps to fnatic for hopefully a long future!"

Remember him saying in a interview that he wouldnt join up with Fnatic again cause you guys couldnt come to an agreement very sad, but now very nice to see you back in your "home" team, now you should even perform better (Q3), cause of the loyal support from ur team and ur fans. You did a good job at the ESCW Masters event (though unlucky) but u just gotta give it that little mental push =]

Good luck dutchie :P
