FnaticMSI and its Counter-Strike: Source team are parting ways. Prior to The-eXperience a mutual agreement was made and it was the best option for both sides.

The Danes impressed the world by winning Game Idol after which cheat accusations were thrown around, but nothing was or ever will be proven. Unfortunately, the CSS side could not continue their streak and underperformed offline at SLAP Live and Outpost On Fire 3.

Not only this has been disappointing, but also the way the CSS community reacted to the addition of this team and how they did not support our decision, which we felt was the only fair way. We still feel we made the right decision today, and we believe they were treated unfairly by the community.

Both the CSS team and FnaticMSI have decided it is for the best to split ways and take their own routes to achieve their goals. The team has already found a new home, Spirit of Amiga. We wish them the best of luck and hope they can prove the critics wrong in the near future.

Neil "kboy" Kirk, FnaticMSI manager, says this about the the team departing:

It's a shame to see things turning out like this, but it's the best course to take for both parties. The results were disappointing of course, but the reaction from the community and resulting pressure on them has been even more disappointing.
They're a really solid bunch of guys and I think that over time they'll grow into one of the best teams. Best of luck to them with Spirit of Amiga, I hope they feel at home with them!
