Having recently been released from ButtonBashers, former Tek9 sniper Verheyen has been hot property in the CoD4 market with many teams after his amazing sniper aim. But after a few matches trialing, Verheyen could only see himself as part of the fnaticMSI family and today we are very proud to announce his addition.

With Verheyen coming into the lineup there has to be changes to the team dynamics. Robin "rivve" Holmen will be changing from his old sniping role to accomadate the Belgian, instead picking up the Assault class, Daniel "tidde" Asp will be the '6th man' playing online to keep up activity and team captain Conney "KyoChi" Sjoberg will have to call in English.

Upon joining, Verheyen had the following to say:

After the whole BB situation it was clear I couldn't continue there, after having a great time there it came to an end. At first I wasn't sure what I would do, play or quit. As i'd wanted to find a job during the summer, however everything worked out well and fnatic gave me a great offer. An offer which later I couldn't refuse. After trying a few games with these guys it was certain I wanted to play with these people, They're a great bunch of guys and a very skilled & motivated team. We're ready to dominate the upcoming summerlans. Shoutouts to Pii, zemme, svotoe, solz, pietje & ofc kb0y, see you all @ the summerlans!

Most teams goes through this over the summer, players getting summer jobs that won't allow them to go to LANs. This time it's affected Daniel "tidde" Asp, he will step down for the time being to being a sixth player, focusing on work. With freedom to choose whoever we like to fill his shoes, we locked on to the one we wanted the most, a guy who needs no introduction as he’s been holding the CoD world in his hands for almost a year now, his point of view is a panorama of pure destruction and we believe he will aid us in overcoming the challenges that lies ahead! Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you STEEEEEEVYYYYYYYYYYY.

Finally, fnaticMSI Business Development Manager, Neil "kboy" Kirk added:

As many people have speculated we are indeed making a change within the FnaticMSI Call of Duty squad. As many people can appreciate real life can on occasions put a strain on the things you love to do. Sadly in this case Daniel (tidde) who is well regarded and respected in the team and community has been put in this situation. He has decided to focus on his work commitments (quite rightly) and as a result had conflicting schedules and a lack of motivation. This has had an affect on the team in very recent weeks. A change was needed and we are all very excited to bring in a star talent to fill the void, none other than ex-ButtonBashers sniper Stevy Verheyen. As a result Robin (rivve) will be taking up an assault position, with Stevy sniping adding a great diversity to the squads tactics and game style. His exciting and talented play has re-motivated the team as we move into this key summer season of upcoming LAN events. I have personally managed Stevy in the past and join the team in wishing him and the team well ongoing.
