The Counter-Strike groups for the ESL Extreme Masters European Championship Finals have been announced. The Finals will take place between the 14th and 24th of January and will bring a spectacle of great matches.
Twelve teams have been spread out over two groups. FnaticMSI's Counter-Strike team can be found in Group B, alongside the likes of mTw and Team Alternate. In Group A, top teams such as SK Gaming, mousesports and H2k Gaming will battle for a spot in the playoffs and in the Global Finals.
| Group A | Group B | |
| SK Gaming | FnaticMSI | |
| H2k Gaming | Team Alternate | |
| Spirit of Amiga | KerchNET | |
| Roskilde Ravens | oXmoze | |
| mousesports | mTw | |
| Millenium | n!faculty / Power Gaming | |
Power Gaming and n!faculty still await a rematch of the relegation match. The winner will be given a spot in the Finals. More question marks can be set, as KerchNET has recently folded, so their replacement remains to be seen. The final change so far is that ArcadioN will replace Sunde for mTw this event.
We will keep you updated on these matters.
The LAN Finals will see a total prize purse of 74,000$, combined over Counter-Strike, World of Warcraft and Quake Live. In the latter you can also see various FnaticMSI players attend in, but an update regarding their groups comes later.
