Christmas has come, and I received an early Christmas present from Emerson. Emerson 'Woundman' Condon has come back with his latest blog about PvE gear. Take a look inside and have a very Merry Christmas!

Emerson 'Woundman' Condon Talks Various Types of Gear

PvE gear sure has become very popular with patch 3.3. Almost everyone I see in arena has some sort of PvE gear on. Everyone also seems to have the Ashen Verdict ring equip and leveled to exalted. The Ashen Verdict ring is probably the easiest epic in the history of the game to acquire and it's leaps and bounds better than anything out there. It's also perfectly itemized for Rogues.

PvP gear just can't keep up with PvE gear, especially since PvE gear is basically a season ahead of it. I highly suggest anyone who is serious about PvPing, to start raiding and getting PvE gear. Blizzard made the same mistake last expansion in season 4. PvE gear completely dominated PvP gear in season 4 and there was basically no reason to use it. Blizzard needs to somehow make PvP gear a little more appealing and always start a new season with new content, so this issue never happens again.

One thing Blizzard should consider doing is buffing resilience. The best way to buff resilience is make the damage reduction somewhat equal to the critical strike reduction. For example, if you have 20% critical strike reduction, you'll also reduce all damage taken by 19% instead of 10%. This would be a big step in the right direction, as PvP gear survivability is lacking.

Well, that's it for now. Hopefully you enjoyed my blog and have a great holiday!
