FnaticMSI can announce that its Counter-Strike 1.6 team will be attending the World Cyber Games Sweden Qualifier 2009, set to take place between 13-15th August 2009.
Eight teams, including FnaticMSI, will be participating in the tournament with four teams receiving direct invites whilst the other four teams will have to go through a set of pre-qualifiers in order to play at the main qualifier to earn a trip to the WCG Grand Finals 2009.
Unlike like year, WCG Sweden 2009 will be played in a Single Elimination Best-of-Three format meaning that there will be no second chances if you lose against another team.
The winner of the tournament won't have to pay a penny to travel to the Grand Finals in Chengdu, China whilst the runner-up will have to pay for themselves or face disqualification.
FnaticMSI have been superb so far this year and with e-Stars Seoul 2009 coming up next, it will provide the perfect platform to practise for WCG Sweden 2009 to earn a place at the World Cyber Games Grand Finals 2009 in the beautiful city of Chengdu, China.
