After announcing the departure of Rasmus "Gux" Ståhl earlier this evening, we are extremely happy to announce his replacement. Look inside and found out who will be the FnaticMSI.CS fifth.
As we see one talent go, we welcome the next. Bjorn "threat" Pers will be joining the team and he has been thoroughly tested. As all of you know, Bjorn was stand-in for FnaticMSI at the World eSports Masters and he played a big part in the victory of the event.

In the past, Bjorn has played for the likes of Eyeballers, Lemondogs, Team Giants and most recently, H2k Gaming. With his 21 years of age, he brings a wealthy proportion of experience, as well as freshness to the team. We are extremely excited that he has decided to join us and we couldn't have found a better replacement.
You can expect an interview with Bjorn tomorrow, covering his life, Christmas celebrations, FnaticMSI and more.
Patrik "cArn" Sattermon, captain of FnaticMSI.CS spoke quite passionately about the change, 2010 and the team:
"First off all I want to wish everybody a happy new decade and I'm truly
hoping that this year will bring joy and happiness to you all!
It´s impossible to celebrate a new year without reflecting about the year that
passed and also about the upcoming year with all its opportunities.
In those moments it´s inevitable not to get emotional and I guess I'm not the
only one hoping for some exciting changes and luck for this brand new year.
There has been a lot of curiosity about the shape of FnaticMSI´s 1.6 line-up of
2010 and the wait is over for all restless souls out there.
We are thrilled to welcome Björn "threat" Pers to the FnaticMSI family. Björn
did an amazing job helping us win WEM, our very first title in China.
This change means Rasmus "Gux" Stahl will not be in our team for 2010 and
from all players and the organization, we wish Rasmus farewell and thanks for the time we had ruling the world.
The team and I would love to send our best wishes to FnaticMSI for their continuous support. Without them and the help from MSI, SteelSeries, Bigfoot Networks, SLAPPA and UGAME we would not be able to travel the world shooting headshots.
I want to wrap this up thanking all fans, sponsors, players and my family who motivated me to continue my gaming career."
Bjorn also had some words to speak, as he was very excited to join.
"It's a big honour for me to join the ranks of the currently best CS1.6 team in the world, FnaticMSI. We had an awesome time in China and I felt the chemistry between us was great. I think I will be able to bring some new positive energy and some awesome new tactics to the team. With this in mind, I think we will be able to be as successful as the team was in 2009!
A big thanks goes out to my new sponsors MSI, SteelSeries, Bigfoot Networks, SLAPPA and UGAME and a special thanks to H2k-Gaming! They did a great job during my stay and helped me out in finding a new organization!""
As a result, the FnaticMSI Counter-Strike line-up for 2010 will be:
- Harley "dsn" Örwall
- Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg
- Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund
- Patrik "cArn" Sattermon
- Bjorn "threat" Pers
