Coming into the Major League Gaming Orlando Halo tournament, the expectations for the three European teams were high. Top sixteen places were predicted, but eventually none of them managed to get there. But still, the final placements are impressive.
Both FnaticMSI and LowLandLions were having their debut in the Major League Gaming, while Power Gaming already got 19th at MLG Anaheim. Orlando proved to be a bit difficult, with a lot more teams signing up.
280,000$ was the total amount of money to be picked up, with everything divided over the top eight. In the end, only the North American teams grabbed the money.
FnaticMSI had a stunning start and was the only European team not to lose in the Amateur Bracket. Power Gaming and LowLandLions both lost in their Bracket final, so had to fight themselves into the Championship Bracket by winning matches in the Lower Bracket.
After LowLandLions' loss in the Amateur Bracket final, they couldn't find the strength to continue and lost again, finishing top forty. Power Gaming however kept fighting and won a lot of matches, but their streak was ended by Swagger Like Us and they finished on a very respectable place, seventeenth.
With FnaticMSI winning all their Amateur Bracket matches, they had an easier road to go. But in the end, this did not mean much as they lost their first Championship Bracket match against Surprise. FnaticMSI ended on a 22nd spot, which is very respectable for their first MLG tournament.
