Fenix is the FnaticMSI Rookie Draft Champion!

The FnaticMSI Rookie Draft Grand Final has been played and the Peruvian Terran(protoss) Joan "Fenix" Moraya has stormed his way to victory in convincing fashion. His opponent Wojciech "AsTeRRiX" Komincz was absolutely helpless in the Grand Final, losing three games in a row to give Fenix the crown. Below is a quick summary of the games!

• Game 1: AsTeRRiX went for a two factory opening while Fenix harassed the wall off with dragoons while quickly teching to dark templars. Fenix's pressure distracted AsTeRRiX who was not able to build detection in time and DT's ravaged his base. Meanwhile Fenix secured two expansions and built an impossible-to-squander lead and eventually took home the win. 
   
• Game 2: Fenix opened with a quick scout on Moon Glave and stole AsTeRRiX's gas. He followed that up by a zealot harass which proved not only effective, but game-ending. His micro was too much to handle and he was able to handily win. 
   
• Game 3: AsTeRRiX opened up with a much safer build and fast expanded to his mineral only on Outsider. Fenix however, used clever reaver and shuttle play to nullify the advantage and harass AsTeRRiX nonstop while slowly building up a huge ground force. AsTeRRiX's first push attempt was stopped easily and Fenix continued to deny expansions and kill SCVs while continuing to expand himself. Eventually his force was too big and AsTeRRiX ran out of money for another convincing win for Fenix.

Yet another gold for the young Fenix.

AsTeRRiX was a huge underdog and the surprise of the tournament, defeating CaStrO and Tarson 2-0 and 3-0, respectively, on his way to the Grand Finals. His luck ran out however when he faced off against Fenix. On the other hand, Fenix seemed to play his best games of the tournament when it mattered most. After defeating TT1 in the semi final last week 3-0, he continued his streak today. 

With this tournament victory, Fenix will be taking home an MSI Wind U135 laptop and move one step closer to being a part of the FnaticMSI family! Now that the tournament is over, check out the top four finishers of the draft.
