In their first playoff game of the day, FnaticMSI.CS will face off against the Portugese side k1ck in the Winner Bracket quarterfinal.
*UPDATE* FnaticMSI have lost to ESC Gaming in the loser bracket semi-final. After getting a comfortable lead, ESC climbed straight back into the game and managed to take the game narrowly 16:14.
*UPDATE* After preveiling Vs. k1ck, FnaticMSI were up against rivals SK-Gaming to see who would advance to the Winner Bracket final. After winning the pistol round of the 1st half on de_inferno SK took the next 3 rounds to make it 3-1. The 1st half saw SK lead by 10 rounds to FnaticMSI's 5, and picked up after 5 to see them on match point. With the score at 15-5 FnaticMSI managed to rally and win 6 rounds in a row, but lost the next round after due to some brilliant shooting by GeT_RiGhT when he took out 4 of FnaticMSI.

Tomorrow will see them play ESC-Gaming in the Lower Bracket.
With four groups and three teams from each group qualifying for the playoffs, GameGune is employing a very different tournament setup than most other organizers. With twelve teams progressing from the playoffs, only eight of these will enter the Winner Bracket.
Consequently the four third place finishers in the groupstage will be put directly in the Loser Bracket, while all the 1st and 2nd place finishers will be playing Winner Bracket quarterfinals right off the bat. FnaticMSI has been paired with Group A, meaning that they will face the Portugese side k1ck in their first playoff match.
The Portuguese team surprised most onlookers in the groupstage as they beat the Brazilian side paiN and took the 2nd place behind Natus Vincere. Whether or not they can continue their hot streak is yet to be found out, but our Swedish CS 1.6 stars will do their utmost to progress to the Winner Bracket semifinals.
In an eventual WB semifinal the team will either SK Gaming or Moscow5 whom are playing right now.

Even after this result at GameGune, you guys will get better. You will get that win.
ESC is certainly getting really good, they beat NAVi lower bracket final, and had a really close game with sk on grandfinal. so no shame on losing to them. keep practicing and i can see u guys getting back on top for the next time.
