German team mousesports will replace SK Gaming at annual Spanish event GameGune 2008 after the Swedish team dropped out due to a planned bootcamp.
GameGune 2008 will be taking place again at the Euskal Encounter between July 25-27th in Bilbao, Spain and will see a host of top-flight teams in competition.
SK Gaming dropped out of the competition approximately one week ago because of a bootcamp taking place on the same dates and GameGune have now announced a replacement.
mousesports now join the list of twenty-eight teams in total attending the event and four more teams are expected to be announced in the following week.
Beginning with a group stage followed by double elimination, a total of 32 teams will feature in the CS1.6 tournament on maps that are de_nuke, de_dust2, de_inferno and de_train.
Despite the absence of some of the world's best Counter-Strike 1.6 teams; Fnatic, Meet Your Makers and emuLate! - who will all be missing out due to e-STARS taking place on the same dates - GameGune is adamant their event will still be one of the pinnacles of the year.
