The committee in charge of the eSports Award 2008 have announced the "eSports Player of the Year" nominees for 2008, this time seperating players into regional groups.

Seven regional groups; North America, South America, China, Korea, Western Europe, Eastern Europe and Northern Europe, will consist of the best players in eSports.

People will get to vote their favourite player in each region up until Monday, 7th July 2008 which is when the polls are closed and the eSport Scene Journalist nominees are announced.
