Team SPEED-LINK player Eugen "GENE" Beilemann has decided to retire from competitive gaming and leaves his team with a gap to fill.
It was recently announced that Team SPEED-LINK took in choZen as Call of Duty 4 team, but the German side already has been given a blow in the stomage as one of their strongest players, Beilemann, has retired from gaming.
Beilemann did not have any motivation left to continue to play competitive, which affected his performances. Also, within the team there were some trouble with the leaving star. Team SPEED-LINK will be looking for a new fifth German play to fill up the hole in their lineup.
He told us often he lost his joy
"I have to announce another changing in our roster today. We did not expect to do this, but it is necessary to replace GNZY [GENE]. Reasons for this are almost his mental attitude about playing CoD 4. He told us often he lost his joy to play the game etc, which was reflected in his ingame perfomance", team manager Roman "spow" Stolz stated.
"Additionally to this the relation between him and some of our players decreased rapidly, so it was not possible to go on like this and assure a succesful future. It's sad to lose such a great player and we wish him best of luck for the future, but I'm sure we'll present an equal substitute in the next time."
This leaves the Team SPEED-LINK lineup as this:
