German based organisation Team Alternate announces the retirement of David 'CHEF-KOCH' Nagel from their Counter-Strike squad.
Nagel will soon conclude his training and move to Stuttgart, Germany where he intends to study. However, he is thinking of rejoining Team Alternate as manager of the Counter-Strike team someday.
He will be replaced by free agent Martin 'fleks' Wehrmann, known from teams such as OCRANA and mousesports. Wehrmann has also been playing with some of the Alternate players for Team Germany already - he was representing his country together with Manuel 'approx' Zeitz, Benjamin 'paN' von Mulert and David 'CHEF-KOCH' Nagel at the ENC 2008 finals lately.
Nagel joined the German powerhouse in early 2006 and has won several events including the World Series of Video Games (WSVG) in 2006 and the German ESL Pro Series twice. His last event will be the iFNG tonight in Oberhausen. Manuel 'approx' Zeitz was also thinking of leaving the professional gaming scene but decided to continue his career with Team Alternate.
Andreas "Chicken" Voss, former CEO of Alternate, told GotFrag.com that the decision was made by the team itself and "fleks already proved that he is among the best players in Germany. He had been on our list for several times and we have now finally completed the deal."
This leaves Team Alternate with the following lineup:
